Here’s a look at Beau Hossler’s swing
A lot of people kept comparing his swing to Colin Montgomerie’s swing, due to the similar looking finish.
To me, it look more like Nicklaus’ swing. Hossler’s swing instructor is Jim Flick, who became Nicklaus’ swing instructor after Jack Grout.
What's interesting is Hossler really narrows the radius of his swing at p5 compared to Nicklaus. But at p6, there are a ton of similarities going on.
The differences I see in Nicklaus versus Hossler, start at address. Nicklaus turned his head away from the target, Hossler doesn’t. Nicklaus' feet are flared out, Hossler's are not.
What's a little ironic is that Hossler doesn't have that super wide takeaway that is so popular with modern golf instruction, where they got that from Nicklaus, who had a super-wide takeaway with his right arm clearly above his left arm. So the modern day Hossler has more of a traditional swing than Nicklaus, who was often told his 'flying right elbow' would hurt his game.
Nicklaus' pivot looks much more centered. Nicklaus also appears to have more hip turn, probably due to great flexibility and having his feet flared at address. But, both guys have that patented 'reach for the sky' with their hands move.
Then both wind up having a similar looking finish position. From look at Hossler's DTL swing, it appears he hits a sizeable draw while we all know that Nicklaus played a fade.

I still think he's much closer to Colin Montgomery:

The hip motion is soooo different though to CM, Montgomery actually slides his hips away from the target creating a slight left leaning pivot, and I am guessing a path way left.

The finish is dead on and I can't get passed the similarities of their respective finishes. Very high hands.
Of course, at 17 I was trying to break 75 on chump courses. I hope this kid has a great career.

More like Furyk than anybody else. High hands and restricted hips: Both externally rotate the left hip/thigh, though Furyk does it a bit more: Both leave the left leg in ER and drive the right knee, creating an "endless slide"; right elbows are both way back: Jim Hardy is salivating!!!: Very similar impacts with very stable hands and clubface: No roll at all, face still very square; if anything a little cup in the left wrist, which is "anti-roll": Jeff

I still think he's much closer to Colin Montgomery: At the top and at the finish, they are very close, although Colin might be a little laid off. The big difference is at impact: completely different body movements in the downswing. Jeff

I looked at the comparisons and I kept thinking who does he look like? All I came up with is he looks like Beau Hossler, weird how that happened.

He has a lot of everyone, thus, he looks like Beau. Good call tba.
I'm still going to say he looks like Monty. I can't escape the finish.

Monty looks like he moves much more laterally to me, particularly in the backswing. I just knew that with Flick as his teacher and seeing the high hands at p4 with club parallel to the ground (another thing Nicklaus preached) and the finish, that's why I saw more Nicklaus than Monty. Plus, Monty hit low cuts and from the sounds of it, Hossler hits a high draw. Nicklaus hit a high cut...so I see more of a similarity there than with Monty.
I do see some Furyk with some of the knee action in the downswing and the push elbow at p6, but they look completely different at p4.
