How can I stop thinning full swings? Irons (teed & not); fairway woods (teed & not).
My 3 wood tee shots often don't get more than 10 yards in the air. They are going straight and rolling quite a bit, but the flight is consistently low.
Iron shots can be similar, straight, but thinned.
Is it as simple as I'm losing my "angle of inclination"? Fear of hitting it fat? Lack of release of accumulators 1 or/and 2?
I know it's hard to say without seeing a video, but how did you fix it when it happened to you?
Thanks in advance.

Low point behind the ball. Pulling your arms apart.
I'd look there first.

Perfect, thanks. Will do, and will report back.

You are correct about fixing without seeing, but try placing a broken tee in front of the ball. Start with it a couple inches in front, then move it forward a little at a time until it's about four to five inches in front. When you take your swing, commit to moving the broken tee. If it's hard to do, then your club is probably out of position at the top of your backswing.
Good luck! (But, you won't need it!)

First question I would ask. Is it a Pro thin? or a Hacker thin? Pro thin = divot in front of ball, leading edge hits the ball on the way down to low point. Hacker thin = low point behind the ball leading edge hits the ball on the way back up. Very different solutions to the two different problems.

I've been working on keeping my head steadier, and it seems to be helping some. I'm also working on keeping the arms straighter by starting with them a bit more relaxed at address to using "extensor action" on the backswing, tucking the right elbow at the start of the downswing and using the pivot to power the downswing. All of that seems to be helping some as well. Less tops with the shorter clubs, but the longer irons and woods still aren't getting up as high as I would like them on a consistent basis.

I've never heard of pro thin and have to ask, does a pro thin shot mainly happen because of a steeper attack angle?

My buddy who is a pro has a pro thin as a miss, and I will post a video tonight. What happens with him is he gets to much forward shaft lean and lacks room so he stalls the pivot slightly and backs out of it catching it a grove or so off.

This is a common way I have seen good players hit thins. Without video the fastest way to get a good idea of which type of thin you are hitting is if you also struggle with fats. Hacker thins are always combined with a good percentage of fat shots. Pro thins almost never combine with chunkies. I think we all know that hitting down on the ball with an iron with forward shaft lean is desired. If you are hitting a lot of thins it may be as simple as overdoing it. Interesting question, can you overdo those two things? I think certain motions have a greater or lesser tolerance for this.

Forward shaft lean with a small divot is very, very hard for me to do at impact. More shaft lean generally means a bigger divot. A smaller divot generally means less shaft lean. I look forward to the video.

I really like that swing. Does he struggle at times with face closure issues (more than normal)? He releases a lot like Els and those hands fly through impact.

His overtaking rate is very fast. Immediately after p7 his clubhead has overtaken his hands. Makes low point control very hard. I can see why he struggles with thin shots. Probably has a tendency to hit it too high from time to time as well and probably not good in windy conditions.

Hey Richie, Ironically, controlling trajectory is one of my strengths and consider myself an above average wind player. If anything my older miss was hitting it too low. Here's a video from yesterday where I was working on the release: www.youtube.com/watch?v=nb4fuQtVZdA

Get a Casio with slow motion videotaping capabilities. Hard to see the new release. I like your swing.
