What intrigues me about it is that it seems like it has a great effect on higher swing speeds. Could be huge on the long driving circuit.

UPDATE: Mine just shipped out today, but it's shipping out from California, so I don't think it will get here next week. If some have followed me...I'm not hitting the driver that well at the moment, but hitting the 3-wood just fine. The great thing about the ShotMaker is I can install it, take it out and install it again.
The Wishon guys seem to like it. The consensus is that it will help a poorly fit shaft more than a well fit shaft. I can understand that, although graphite is still pretty unpredictable for my tastes. As much as I like the Talamonti's, the original version plays soft to flex, I'm glad I got that info and found what I like.
The other thing is that it seems to work better for higher swing speed, so if you swing 105+ with the driver (legitimately), could be a good thing to have because even if you were fit well for a driver, the clubhead speed may may the discepancies bigger for you than a 90 mph driver swing.

I'm guessing that for guys who play heavy swing weight drivers this would also be important. I don't swing much over 105, but getting a driver up to E0 at 43.5" requires a lot of head weight. When I swapped out the V1 Talimonti for the V2 Talimonti I weighed my driver head... 224g.

how different are the V1 and V2 Talamontis?

From what I gather, they are practically the same thing, but the v1 plays softer to flex.
The first 2 v1's I got the TourX and it felt great. The 3rd v1 TourX feels a bit too stiff. I'm probably going to get it measured.

I'm still not settled with my swing, but I can say this about the Talamonti shafts... they do not impart much spin, but still provide lift-launch-and distance. I have a REALLY hard time moving the ball on command. Not a bad thing necessarily, and it has more to do with my swing at the moment than the shaft I'm sure.

okay...got the 'F' insert with the install tool in the mail today. I installed it into my Adams 9064LS driver. Installation...probably the easiest thing to ever install in golf. I use an air compressor for my grips, so I didn't install it thru my grip...although I've been told that it's simple. For me, it's exactly like the video from Harrison says....drop it down the shaft, put the install tool down the shaft and tap it lightly twice, then 3 clicks and you are good to go. Took me all of 15 seconds. This thing is literally as light as a feather. At first I really didn't notice a big difference. I was working on some things with my swing and just couldn't get them to click, but then I did and started rifling shot after shot. My initial thoughts are that it definitely launches the ball lower. I can see that. I think it also reduces the spin, but I'm just looking at that visually. But the launch angle is very noticeable. Later on I went and played #1 and #2 at Stoneybrook East with just my driver and 7-iron. I hit each driver down the middle and about 275 yards. Which is pretty good considering the fairways badly need to be mowed and are very soft. I actually hit the 150 marker that is in the middle of the fairway on #2. Some kids were crossing thru the course and thought I was the greatest player ever for hitting that marker I'll need a little more time with it. But from an install perspective...it's a cinch. 3JACK

Had an "E" installed in my 909D2 (Matrix 5.5 for Titleist) last Friday. Hit the range Fri and played Sat. and Sun. Mixed thoughts right now. Definitely made the club feel different. I think it stiffened up the tip as I felt less "kick." This could have resulted in a swing change.
Tough to tell if it really helped. It certainly won't help a flat out bad swing. I did get in a groove of tight draws on the range, which is nice when your miss is a hook. Then proceded to put two off the tee into the junk on 16 - deep sixing my score for the day.
I wonder if it had been installed without me knowing it whether I would have noticed it was there. Not in the feel, but flight. If I was going to do it again, I might insist on doing it on a Trackman or Flightscope. The guys at the shop are really cool and would swap it out for me, but my SS is hovering around 102-104, so I think the fit is good.

Rich,
Now that you've had these for a while, what are your thoughts?

I still like the one I have in my 3-wood. I should be getting my extra one for my driver soon.

does it make a noticeable difference? from what i read above, it has lower shot dispersion due to lower spin, lower ball flight and unclear impact on yardage. Any feel difference?

I think it makes a big difference...depending on what type of shaft you are using. The Talamonti shafts are really good, SST Pured (they call them 'MOI Optimized). I see a lower ball flight with them. The amount of curve is less noticeable.
However, I have a Aldila RIP Gamma shaft in another driver......HUGE difference. Flies much, much lower and the curve is much much less. I think it does reduce spin and gets the shaft to kick more consistently. The latter isn't big deal with the Talamonti, but reducing the spin part could be useful with the Talamonti shafts.
