Finally acquired Lynn Blakes DVD.
Mixed bag really. I like the idea of just have some common discussion among two TGM teachers but the first disk lacked structure. I have quite a bit of TGM knowledge so many of the topics were nothing new and then some of the descriptions that Lynn was giving was pretty cool stuff even with that advanced knowledge. I wish there was more structure though, they should have tied backswing and downswing elements together rather than the jumping around that was going on, the drills did not go into some of the theory that was floated in Disk one, its the theory that interests me.
Honestly I could have done without VJ, I mean probably a great teacher but Lynn was the one providing the nuts and bolts.
I thought DVD 2 was better and more structured but again I am really wanted a definitive DVD on TGM with visual and graphical demonstrations. For example talk about extensor action was great but it needed more, it seemed ever topic needed more.
There was some things skipped or only briefly touched on such as footwork, RFT, swivel action. Too much time was spent on hinge actions which frankly I dont think hinge actions is the most important contribution of TGM. I dont think the really went into using a right forearm on plane, it was mentioned but not explained and how beneficial a RFT and RF on plane setup can be and how to best complete.
I have to watch the putting portion and thats were VJ is know for.
I know Alignment Golf 2 is coming out soon and hope it improves on the first one.
