Anyone interested in playing the courses at Bandon Dunes in September or October. Let me know. Trying to put a group together.

I am in the middle of moving back up to N.Idaho. It is a long shot, but that sounds good to me. I have a buddy who is a club pro in Grant's Pass and they take a gang of members there every year in October. I have never taken him up on it. Maybe we might be able to coincide? Either way, I am a Maybe? I know it's not much, but after seeing it last year and NOT PLAYING, it is now on the short list of things to do!

sounds great. let's keep it open as a possibility and if it works, great. do you know what the weather is likely to be like in October or september?

Keep me in the loop on when you intend to do it. I will certainly try, but my schedule is probably going to be horrendous in the fall.

Jules,
Weather in September is as good as it gets. Sunny 60 degrees and the normal 20-25 mph wind. When I was working there we had a great October as well, but they say it can start the rainy season a little early as well. No matter when you go - take your rain gear to keep the rain away.

geez. i don't want to suffer any more than I have to Jules Living on the Coast of Oregon for 8 years now I can tell you the best time of the year to be here is the last two weeks of september through the middle of October...That being said if you take my advice I now guarantee you will get rained out. Seriously though you can get some wonderful weather that time of year. The valley courses do very poorly in the rain imo, but the coast courses (Astoria, Salishan, Sandpines and the Bandon Courses) all drain and play really well even in downpours.
