Hello all-
In case any of you have an interest, my swing coach Kelvin Miyahira will be visiting the NY area in late June (Kelvin is based in Hawaii). We are still setting up his schedule, but the first events we have planned are clinics on Monday, June 25, at my club, Black Oak Golf Club, in Long Valley, NJ. Black Oak is an easy drive out Route 80, about 50 miles from the George Washington bridge.
The clinics will be half day, morning or afternoon, and limited to eight participants (Kel will have an assistant, so it will be a 4:1 student:teacher ratio). Attendees are welcome to play the Black Oak course, a TERRIFIC design by club founder and head pro David Glenz, before or after their clinic. The ample grass practice facility, home to the David Glenz Golf Academy, is superb. Here is a link to Black Oak:

If you can’t make it out to Black Oak that Monday, we are also thinking of having additional events, perhaps clinics over the weekend at a course near West Point, as well as a “classroom”-setting seminar, perhaps in the evening during the week at a location in Manhattan.
If any of these possibilities appeal to you, just let me know. Since I started working with Kelvin a couple of years ago, his research has progressed tremendously, and I am thoroughly convinced that he is now the most knowledgeable instructor in the game, and I have taken lessons from top-10 instructors Jim Hardy and Stan Utley as well as Hall of Famer Carol Mann. Here is a link to Kelvin’s published articles:

Here is a clip of my current swing, after two years with Kelvin; he stresses athleticism, which I hope can be seen at least a little bit in these swings!!! I just turned 57:

Hope you all can make it to an event!
Take care,
Jeff
