Currently, I'm gaming the following: D: Cleveland Hi-Bore XLS 10.5* (Fujikura Stiff Shaft) 3W: Cleveland Hi-Bore XLS 15* (Fujikura Stiff Shaft) 3H: Mizuno Fli-Hi CLK 20* (TT Hybrid Steel Stiff Shaft) 4-PW: '63 Hogan IPT, 1* flat, -1/2" Apex 4 shaft GW: Nickent ARC 50* (TT DG S300 shaft) SW: Titleist Vokey SM 54* (TT DG Wedge Shaft) LW: Cleveland 588 BeCU 60* (TT DG Wedge Shaft) As my swing comes along I may change out the irons, I have MP-62's or I may have the irons rechromed and reshafted. The wedges will likely be re-shafted as well and I'll probably be getting a new LW, 3-wood (stronger lofted, higher kickpoint shaft) and a new driver (stronger lofted, highter kickpoint shaft). 3JACK

Thought I'd try and rejuvenate this thread as it would be interesting to hear what anyone else is carrying at the moment as well. I'm using a Mizuno MP-001 driver with a stiff Aldila NV-65. Not fitted or anything. Second hand off e-Bay like a lot of my stuff. Previously, I had used Titleist drivers for ages, firstly the legendary 975D and then the 983K when I won some vouchers. They were the only models of the bigger headed drivers that I could hit with a driver flight - a must for seaside golf. I was really angry to find out the 983 model I had was illegal (having the little HCr on it)! www.2ndgolf.com/picture/tt983khcr.jpgI didn't ask for this model when I ordered it and never wanted anything with a trampoline face. Had I not won the vouchers, I'd have been even angrier. I have an old school Callaway warbird strong three wood with the standard steel shaft. This was beaten up and battered about when I found it in a second hand bin about ten years ago. Still a great club in my opinion. Did get one of the re-issued retro Taylor Made spoons (13*), unsurprisingly also second hand. Great flight, but the grip is a bit thin and the shaft is a bit whippy. Really needs to be either two inches shorter or have an S400 in there so it takes the left out of play a bit more. Always used strong three woods, my favourite of which was a 13.25* Hogan tour spoon. I used this for years, but it eventually needed a new shaft. Because of the design it had to be sent back to the factory that had stopped making them and said they couldn't do it. I was gutted. I have tried various five woods and rescue clubs, but just don't get on with them. The rough isn't that crazy where I play most at the moment so might consider if I was regularly leaving myself 200 yards from fluffy rough. At the moment though, I am carrying the ugly 2 iron - Ping Zing 2. Iron-wise, I have Mizuno MP-32s, three iron to pitching wedge. Love them. I have a rusty old Cleveland 52* that never leaves the bag, but my most lofted wedge changes a bit. I have a 56* CG10 and another Cleveland 58*. If I am really struggling, I bring out the Hogan Sure-Out. Honestly. www.todaysgolfer.co.uk/upload/32579/images/Ben%20Hogan%20Sure-out%20sand%20wedges.jpgI've been using a Odyssey #2 a pro mate gave me for a while now. Before that, I used a Taylor Made TPI 25 for ages. Both centre shafted, both shortened a couple of inches and fattened up the grips. That's what's in the bag at the moment. What's in the spare room, various storage units and other people's bags? Highlights would be a set of Ping Zing 2s with beryllium wedges, a set of Mizuno TP-11s, an SMT driver a mate put together for me (but I can't hit to save my life), an Adams three wood with EI-70, a set of Cleveland TA7 tours (forged chunky cavity backs), two Ping Eye 2 one irons, some Ram wedges, and about a dozen putters of various shapes and sizes (but mainly centre shafted).

I really think you can get good deals on equiptment if you are creative. Here is my fairly economic bag.
Callaway FT-9 i-mix Tour with 63g Fubuki stiff shaft. I found this shaft ($300) and head combo ($300) deal on postings at WRX that if you bought both special order of the internet or custom order then it was $400. Bought at PGA Tour Superstore
Now the best part, Callaway was offering buy a driver and get a fre fairway wood last year. If you bought the Hyper X instead of the Diablo you could get 2 fairway woods.
Callway Tour Hyper X 3 wood and 5 wood........FREE. I love the 3 wood but not so keen on the 5 wood, its just too much hook for me, probably on the way out. I think I might go with a fourth wedge. The shafts is Fujikura E60. This was an upgrade that PGA allowed as they were retail $60 more than regular Hyper X woods.
Adams Pro Gold Hybrids, 23 and 26 degrees, these replace my 3 and 4 iron. Both have Aldila Proto by you and I bought them new off Rockbottomgolf for $70 each. I like both quite a bit but it does limit my workability.
Mizuno MP-32 3-PW with Project X 5.5 shafts - just bought these for $290 on ebay. Jury is still out but they have seemed solid so far. I love the shafts. I likely wont game the 3 much unless I expect to have to hit iron tee shots (love hitting a low stinger). I will use the 4 some because I really can work it and hit some recover shots.
Mizuno MP-T 51 and 56 wedges. I like these, got them for $45 and $55 in very good condition off ebay. I can really spin these but they are lighter than my taste prefers.
Titleist Scotty Cameron Pro Platinum Newport 2 - Bought this as a present to myself for $200 in 1998. Its been babied and still in 9/10 condition and worth a good $125. Its a great putter though I have messed around with a center shafted putter, also might pick up a 8802 style putter like Bettinardi BB2.

Weird! A lot of the club's I have used the longest have been from second hand bins, particularly strong three woods. Now e-Bay has turned the world into one huge bargain bin where you can rummage around in the back of people's garages from the comfort of your own home. Sadly, now living overseas it isn't quite as easy, but buying second hand putters is no longer a threat to my marriage.

Might be a good thing for my wallet, free-time and marriage that I am no longer able to use it!

I have a set of Hogan PC's but the shafts are very stiff so I am going to pull those and buy some pulled shafts on ebay but not sure what I want to do.
My feeling is with the irons I probably fit into a dynamic gold S300 but I was thinking of getting some R400's because they will be a little stiffer than a normal regular shaft but not quite as stiff as a regular shaft.
I am a little concerned over my new MP32's, they are very light. Part of buying stuff on Ebay is stuff like that, I highly doubt I want to tape then up or pull them apart to add weight to the hosel.

GMB---I am very curious...you say "I have a set of Hogan PC's but the shafts are very stiff so I am going to pull those "
do you think they have been re shfted? from your vids, you are a strong striker of the ball and I would think Apex4s are good for you...apex 5s are rare...do you have any idea what is so stiff in your PC's? I may be off base here, but seems unusual to hear you have too stiff a shaft (especially after seeing you hit on the vids) bent

The best thing to do is pull them apart and add weight, not sure I am married to them that much.

ah I looked at your other thread and saw you said the swingweight of the mizunos was D0, that would be a lot if tape indeed. My mistake

I noticed you play a 3 Hybrid and 3 iron. Are the lofts different and/or is there a distance gap between the two clubs?

The loft on the 3-hybrid is 20*, 3-iron I think is 22*. I've been using the 3-hybrid for awhile since when I was playing the MP-62's I didn't buy the 3-iron. There was a pretty good gap between the 3-hybrid and the 4-iron, but there's ways to cut that gap down with the hybrid. I really like the hybrid because I can hit it like a 1-iron to a 3-iron length, it's good off the tee and great in the rough. With a 3-iron I'm not nearly as long off the tee and I don't like hitting a 3-wood off the tee on a tight fairway. And the 3-iron isn't nearly as good from the rough.
Now I'm using the Apex PC's and more traditional lofts. There's still a decent gap between the 3-hybrid and 3-iron, but something I can work with.
I'm thinking about in the future going something like this:
Driver 3-wood: 15* 3-hybrid: 20* 3-iron: 22* 4-iron: 26* 5-iron: 30* 6-iron: 34* 7-iron: 38* 8-iron: 42* 9-iron: 46* PW: 50* SW: 54* LW: 58*
