I'll be getting the Powerbilts re-gripped and their lies and lofts bent. I'll do it tomorrow and hopefully pick them up on Friday so I can use them during the weekend. Obviously, they never ordered the KBS shaft and I haven't even heard from the company. I wanted a parallel tip X-stiff KBS. I did some searching around and it appears that KBS has a ton of those backordered, so nobody has them right now until about the 21st or so. I'll probably put off that for now as I'll continue working on my swing and in 2 weeks I'll probably do another Trackman session, plus I should be close to getting into module 4 of ABS by then.

Actually, I lied. GolfWorks just got the KBS shaft I wanted in stock today, so I ordered it.

Got the Powerbilts back. Here's what the specs will be when I get home from work.
2-iron: 53* lie, 16* loft, D4 Swingweight 3-iron: 53* lie, 20* loft, D4 Swingweight 4-iron: 54* lie, 24* loft, D4 Swingweight 5-iron: 55* lie, 28* loft, D6 Swingweight 6-iron: 56* lie, 32* loft, D6 Swingweight 7-iron: 57* lie, 36* loft, D6 Swingweight 8-iron: 58* lie, 40* loft, D6 Swingweight 9-iron: 59* lie, 44* loft, D6 Swingweight
I forgot to ask him to check the current swingweights, so I'll have to find a store who can check them for me quick tonite.
Tonite I'll take a pic of all my irons and post it here.

I'm also thinking about purchasing a spine tool. I figure when I decide on what shafts I want, it would save me money in the long run to spine align the irons myself. I spoke to forum member coach about it and said that it's a good idea with steel shafted irons, but a poor idea for the graphite shafts because they need to be spined and FLO'd.

Here’s some future tools I plan on getting:
SWINGWEIGHT SCALE
It’s too much of a pain for me to drive 15-20 miles to go and get the clubs swingweights. Plus, I’ll probably want to experiment a touch more with swingweights. A lot of it is just plain feel. Sometimes a club feels a bit too light or too heavy and I need to fix it. I figure I can get a scale off of eBay for $30-$50.
SPINE TOOL
Golf Works charges about $12 a club for spine alignment if you have 4 or more clubs. And that’s if the shafts are new and bought from them. A spine tool costs about $50-$60, so getting one set spine aligned alone and I’m making my money back. I spoke to forum member and clubmaker ‘coach’ about it and he said that with steel shafts, having me spine align them is not a problem. But with the graphite shafts it’s a bit different and they need to be spined and FLO’d.
RANGEFINDER WITH SLOPE
I’ll use this mostly for practice and scouting a course. I really don’t need the slope as much in Florida, but you never know. This will also be used to get my yardages down. I wish the place I rented out the Trackman didn’t have floater range balls, because then I could tell exactly my distances on my clubs. I’m hoping to get this for about $250-$275

Yes. I was told it's the best spine tool you'll find.

My clubmaker also put these grips on my Powerbilts. They are called SHARPRO My tournament irons usually have cord grips, but since I don't have any plans in playing many tourneys this year, I just got these cheap grips. But I have to say that after 3 days of using them I really like them. They seem much stickier than the Golf Pride and Lamkin velvet grips. I think they are something like $1.55 per grip for a set of 13 and the cords are only $2.55 per grip for a set of 13. 3JACK

The grip feels very good. I am supposed to get the KBS X-Stiff shaft on Monday. I will be purchasing a spine tool soon and try it out on that shaft. 3JACK

Is that a "hard edge" GripMaster or standard?

I think it's a standard leather wrap with cord.

I should be getting the KBS shaft in today. I'll probably hold off on getting that installed because I want to get the spine tool first and after this past week or so of making changes to my swing, I *think* I might need to get my lie angles a little more upright. I think with the changes to my posture and my backswing, that's causing the downswing plane to get a little more upright. I was swinging really well on camera after playing La Cita on Sunday, but having problems with toe digs and fat shots.
So, I'll try the Hogan Bounce Sole 1+'s this week and see how my swing reacts to them. If I'm still hitting them a bit fat and off the toe, I'll probably have the lie angles looking like this:
2-iron: 54* 3-iron: 54* 4-iron: 56* 5-iron: 57* 6-iron: 58* 7-iron: 59* 8-iron: 60* 9-iron: 61* PW: 62* SW: 62* LW: 62*
I'm considering getting my own lie and loft machine so I can bend clubs myself. I have room, but the cost and lugging it up 2 flights of stairs is not going to be fun.

If you don't buy the stand to go with it (the heavy part) you can just mount it to your kitchen table.

I'm curious why you aren't employing the marker line on the ball technique to test out your lie angles.

Thanks, Cloran. I wasn't sure how it would work. I may just do that and if that's the case, I may get one soon.
Pavaveda - I was actually planning on using the line test to check my lie angles. I was going to do it before when I got into ABS and figured I'd try to bend them 6* flat and go from there. But with my posture being different I didn't have a problem with them being flat and the flat lie angles I feel did a good job on flattening out the downswing.
But, I've only changed my posture and my backswing for a week now. I kind of figured that 6* was likely too flat for me anyway because John Erickson is 6' tall and has his lie angles about 6* flat. I'm taller at 6'4".
IIRC, Sean O'Hair is at 5* flat and he's 6'2" tall and Jason Gore is at 6* flat or so and he's about 6 feet tall as well.
But, it's something that just came up and unless I see improvement, I'll probably try the line test this coming weekend.
