I don't believe any of these 6 were built for a long putter, but I'm sure Tad could do it. He'd have to do something special to get the head weight up... but with mine at E6 on the swing weight scale perhaps that would translate to something in the D's on a long putter anyhow? Not sure...

I called Tad a few weeks ago to see if he had any heal shafted versions of the Selma T-Bone remaining. He did, so I grabbed one. It took Tad a little while to get the specs exactly right (he's a busy guy!)... but when it arrived I loved it. I wanted a double bend shaft to keep the putter face balanced, a 72* lie angle, and a length of 32". Tad said he had to bend the shaft himself in order to get the specs right and it was a bit tricky, but he nailed it. I have been experimenting with standing a bit closer to the ball. I always THOUGHT my eyes were over the ball, or just inside... but they were more like 6" inside the ball. I had dropped the lie angle on my other putters to 67* and 68* so that didn't really help. Dropping the length to 32" and moving the shaft more upright lets me stand with my eyes right over the ball. We'll see how it plays out on the course, but on my carpet it's nice. This also allows me to "lock" my wrists (uncocked, less acute angle) by keeping the shaft in line with my right forearm. When it arrived the putter was painted the same way as the center shafted version I just purchased, but I had a late night idea. I love the black polymer finish LaMont did for me on another putter, but I wanted to keep a contrasting topline to help square up those short putts. I shipped the putter off to Arizona and this (not-so-little) lady is on the road back to NY as we speak. LaMont (golfluvsme) is a magician, and I HIGHLY recommend his work. I've never seen a putter painted like this, and I'm a little surprised actually. It really works well... on a large mallet especially. It aims itself on short putts with the white topline, and the alignment line extending down the body really pops for those longer putts. How do I know this without getting the putter back from LaMont yet? Don't ask... ;D When focusing on just the topline it feels like you're putting with a blade, it's pretty cool. Also, the weights on the back can be changed. I have Tad looking for a lighter set for me right now. I want to be able to change them and get the head a little lighter when the weather gets better (ie, and the greens at my local muni turn to stone). Attachments:

New wedges coming my way. I wanted to get some wedges with legal grooves as my irons are legal. I've been playing really well with a 60* (from a small, no-name company, cast 8620) wedge that I took the dremel to. It had 14* of bounce at the start... and at the end of my work? 0* bounce at the heel, and probably closer to 6* at the highest point. I wanted to be able to get the face close to the ground when the head was open, be able to cut the ball off a tight lie without fear of bouncing the leading edge into the ball, and I didn't want to catch the heel and close the face off the same tight lie. The grind actually works well and I've had some good success with the club. But it has the old grooves and that bothers me. Perhaps it shouldn't seeing that I'm a 12.6 HC and all... but it does. After much research on the various component heads on the market I settled on these: Inazone 2010 LGL. 52*, 56*, and 60*. Cast 304 carbon steel... bending shouldn't be an issue at all. They are coming my way from diamondtourgolf.com. I've had great experiences when working with them in the past (they built my Wishon driver before I set up my own workshop), and I would recommend their OEM designs.
There were several factors that I took into consideration: -Grooves -Bounce angle -Grind -Price
The grooves are legal... check.
The bounce angles are very close to what I wanted. My MP14 PW is 48* w/ 4* of bounce (clubs bent 2* strong of standard... orginal PW is 50* w/ 6*) and the inazone GW should fit in as a decent progression to my set.
52* w/ 8* 56* w/ 14* 60* w/ 4*
I'll need to see how the SW fits into things. I like the idea of more bounce for sand shots, but 14* may be a bit too much. I'll be playing the SW as my 120-125yd club and I don't want to start skulling shots from that close because of the high bounce.
The 60* w/ 4* bounce should be great around the green.
And the price? $13/head... can't beat that!

Here's the final assortment of gear I'll be toting around for the foreseeable future.
