real nice swing!
It looks like you are standing up to the ball right into impact, do you have general ball direction? The video is grainy and quick so its hard to see anything with the face of the club. A face on would also help to see why you stand up.
Real good motion though, what is your handicap?

thanks gmbtempe my handicap is 16 although i have shot below 80 3 times i need to record a face on view here is my swing from another angle www.youtube.com/watch?v=7NDSIwY0rxQgenerally my shots go straight. in recent times i have learnt to hit the ball both ways sorry for the video quality the file size has been reduced. i have only recently got the camera and i am still figuring out the editing process

Things I like about this swing... I like the club face position at the top. I envy the length of swing - good stuff. I think you've generally got a good action - a little quick... but tempo is individualistic. Have you checked out my post about 3:1 tempo? Might be worth measuring yours.
I'd like to see the face on position - I can't quite see what you are doing with your pivot but it looks a little like you move your head over to the left hand side at the top of your backswing i.e. nearer the target. A face on view and also a view of your back would be useful...
Tips for shooting video... use light coloured clothes it's easier to see joints and lines than black. So the top is fine - trousers hard to see leg action clearly.
Are you following a particular method such as S&T?

thanks for the comments i do have some face on, but the problem with them is the camera is facing the sun which makes it difficult to see the swing. I will select and edit the best of these and try and get them out tomorrow.
i have been following brain manzella and richies blog just keep trying to learn new information and ideas. pity i am not intelligent enough to understand it all but i will keep trying.

Hello Tom,
While I appreciate you joining and participating in the forum and your swing videos are more than welcome here, could you please add a Face On view of your golf swing. It's just part of this folder's rules and makes it easier for fellow members to more accurately analyze your golf swing.
Thanks.

Tom, that just is such a good swing its hard to believe you are a 16 handicap.

Pretty good motion, but too much rocking back for a wedge shot. I like very little movement away from the target in the back swing, but that is just me. I'm not talking S&t either just hips sliding back.
You need to feel like you have a post resting against your right hip on the back swing. Other than that it looks good. What is the ball doing?

won a competition on Sunday but handicap only reduced 0.1 in the UK it takes a lot of competitions to reduce your handicap. hoping to win more this year and get my handicap reduced by the end of summer
yeah i agree with the wedge having less pivot/weight shift. when I get into a rhythm i tend to swing one way with most shots it can be hard to change from my normal swing. at one time i had little to no weight shift in my swing and perhaps had a reverse pivot, popping up drivers etc which i worked hard to eliminate.
what i am looking mostly is advice on improving my consistency and to know that i am on the right track i want to know i am practising in the right direction.
i tend to hook the driver and i am looking to reduce the amount of hook

Tom, that just is such a good swing its hard to believe you are a 16 handicap. He's over in England. Very different handicap system. So he would probably be an 8-10 handicap over here. 3JACK

i have added my current driver swings. i am having trouble hooking the driver
i can play a fade but i am looking to stop the hook and hit it as straight as possible any ideas would be welcome
the driver is giving me the greatest problem and is holding back my scoring when not hitting the fairways.
second video is not great as we don't get any sunshine. this is normal speed, my camera has no function to slow down recordings.
