Not much I think needs to change but I am no pro, barely a hack I guess. Gets a little laid off, head lifts up a touch but all in all I think its pretty good.

Your a hack, Greg? What does that make the rest of us, lol?
Nice looking swing.
I'd call it a Leadbetter-takeaway-Haney-P4-Strong-pull-down-into-P6-a little-CFish-release-with a-Michelle Wei-P10-finish-Kinda'-swing...

After watching Tommy 2 Gloves I'm convinced we all have a base swing in our system and our body/mind adapts. There might be some techincal changes for your friend with the laid off backswing, but he brings it down nicely into impact (so why change it - his swing could get worse).
At some point the best advice for better players is to focus on their alignmnet to help zero out their path D plane style.

My thoughts:
- I like p1-p2.
- Little weird from p2-p5. He rotates the LAFW and he has the wrists cocked at p3. Gets laid off at p4, but manages to get on plane with a ton of lag at p5. Very hard to do that even if you're on plane and not laid off. To do it the way he does it, much harder. But he does get it done.
- Love his transition. Very very sharp, but sequenced nicely.
- Don't understand the 'straightened right leg = undynamic.' Snead and Hogan were anything but undynamic in my book.
- p7 from DTL...really good.
- I would imagine if his attack angle isn't too downward with the driver, he must hit it L-O-N-G.
- p7-p9 from DTL looks very Hunter Mahan-ish, except for the closed clubface.
- Really nice things. Some things I would work on in the backswing and in the downswing to help him be a bit more consistent. Looking at his clubface at P8, I'd imagine his misses are pulls and hooks.

His driver speed is 125mph and has been up to 137..........5' 9" or so, great Hoganesque hips.
Yea he has worked hard to get the path left for a CF release (thats why I don't believe left=CP), very much into the D Plane. Hits up on driver and down hard on irons. Too steep he thinks because he get so much lag the clubs delofts a lot, trying to work on less lag and a shallower angle of attack.
I joked with him that some would call his pivot centered.

I just noticed something in this swing...
Face-on, watch the left hand from P6 to P8 roughly. It goes from palm down to palm up and seems to induce an ungodly amount of club head speed.
Previously, I would've looked at this as an undesired rolling over of the hands, but if you're looking for club head speed this seems to be a great way to get it.
I'll need to experiment with this. The main drawback I can think of would be that it would add another element of timing.

The move is basically accumulator #3 roll of a swinger. just make sure you have your hands in front of your body at P6 or you will be looking at some dumping as you release this way.
