Here is the first handmilled shot at the Anser 2-style, with the flat bumpers and narrow profile, that I have done on the manual mill. I left a solid back wall of the face, as I like that look and it allows for a little heft in that area. The putter, with the Hi Beam neck weighs in at 345 grams. This is the first putter I have made that was not a total tank before the hosel was put on, LOL. Keeping it a little light will be a good test for me. I have been looking at going a little lighter than 350 and this one is just right. With some of the other necks I tried, it was as low as 340 grams, but even that is fair. The "Rattler" comes from the milling that will be standard on this head. It has a sort of Diamond Back pattern and I love the way it turned out. Check out the pics and let me know what you think. Thanks guys and gals, LaMont in AZ One for fun, LOL!

I really like that milling pattern, LaMont. It's unique, but not in a "weird" way... it's classy.
Is this one of the heads from Sunset Beach that's been MannKrafted, or a start-to-finish LaMont creation?
Also, have you ever had someone request a short plumbers neck? I'm talking like 1/2 the length of the 4th picture? That could look pretty cool, especially on a fat-bumper "tank" (I love a heavy putter!)
My creative side starts working overtime when I see your stuff... there's so many options.

Thanks for the comment. This one is all my work, from block of steel to what you see here. A couple of the hosels were milled, then added, but most of those were my work, as well. I am currently trying to put a plumbers neck in my handmade arsenal, but it is a ton of work, especially on the manual mill that I do all of my work on. I think that the idea of a 1/4 length plumbers neck on a beefy design has a good ring to it. I have a couple of heavy-bodies and will mock one up, like you describe. It may catch on, you just never know. Creative minds are where the new ideas come from. Keep it up. Thanks again, LaMont in AZ
