like he was firing on all cylinders......he's currently 2nd in fairways hit and 2nd in greens hit......not bad for a "hardy two planer"

Everyone likes David Toms and given his ball striking its pretty amazing he has not won in 5 years.
Given Hardy's revision on what constitutes a two plane swing (its the impact position now) I wonder if he still classifies him as a two planer.

He looked really good. Really liked seeing his swing that much and how far left he was swinging; both he and KJ really. You can really see that "ball-bouncing" motion. You would think they would take bigger divots with that motion, but they don't. And it makes you wonder how many compensations those other guys who aren't swinging so far left are making.

Here's Toms' 3Jack Rankings (out of 184 golfers)
Driving: 5th Short Game (0-20 yards from edge of green): 89th Danger Zone (175-225 yards to pin): 4th Shots from 50-175 yards: 28th
One of my blog readers has been placing bets on Toms to win tournaments since reading my statistical rankings. Toms has been a pretty cheap bet and probably would've paid huge if he won at Sawgrass. Now that he's been having such a great year, I doubt his value will be nearly as good.

He may have a two plane backswing. But his downswing is as good as it gets. He's been working with Geoff Jones since early last year. Hes been one of the best ballstrikers on tour for years.

Toms has a two plane backswing and one plane like downswing. KJ is clearly a two planer!!

well....Geoff Jones has been working with him since US Open last year...alot of his moves are pretty evident in Toms recent action....highest compliment came from his son, Carter...who said "Thanks to you, he has his swagger back" Nice work Geoff...

on and off with brian since 1986......on since mid february 2011.... exclusively....the details on rob akins and geoff jones and their level of involvement with david before mid february is david's domain.....i have a very good understanding of their involvement, but it is not my place to discuss it.....

ditto...but if anyone thinks DT is "exclusive" with Bmanz since Feb, then i'd say there is an Arnold Schwarzenegger problem...
