i thought toms played pretty well last year, compared to what he had been doing. i loved the three finger squeeze shot he hit on the approach to eighteen. that showed some class. i hope he continues to play well during his career.

Whats good about the last one (other then the obvious) is it gets you into the US Open and if he holds it up into the British.

Nice job by D.T. and B.M. for his contribution. Better to have a B.M. on your team than a J.M. ...LOL.

Lucas Glover is a great example. The guy is #1 in my putts against average from 3 to 25 feet and #1 in the PGA Tour's 'Putts Gained' stat. Only 1 year ago I would've thought somebody was on crack if they told me that Glover would be the #1 putter in the world. That's not the case for Toms, who has generally putted well this year, but has made his bones with his ballstriking. But, I just thought world ranking is very flawed. 3JACK

mike, in 07 he was 32nd, in 08 he was 131, in 09 he was 14, in 10 he was 49, in 2011 he is now 17. he jumped from 53 to 17 this week. in 2010 he was 25 to 49 in his last play. i do not think he has played poorly lately. who was his coach in 08? was he hurt, i do not remember. other than that , he has been very steady. IMO. he seems to have good showings most every year. the above is the official money list. i do not know anything about the classic b/p style.

He looks awesome. Shot another phenomenal round today. Being a long-time, highly successful tour player, I'm pretty sure he would chalk his recent success up to more than just the instructor he's been working with over the last year, quarter, or whatever it is everyone is arguing about. Congrats to David and Brian... and Geoff.
Save the axe grinding for the hardware store.

Everybody....I've stated that for me this isn't important because Toms' success doesn't validate my thoughts on Brian and Geoff as teachers. Both guys are on my 3Jack Top 50 Instructor list, so I am certainly fond of Brian and Geoff's teaching skills.
However, I know that many golfers don't feel that way. That's sorta how the golf instruction industry works...Tour golfer does well and then his instructor is now thought of more highly and more sought out by amateurs. Lots of money involved, I get that.
But, I'm not interested in the he said vs. he said argument.
I trust Iteachgolf when he says that to him it appears that Brian is Toms' teacher 'on the clock.'
So, if you believe that David and Brian are not exclusively working together since mid February...show us proof. I'm not sure what else anybody could want me to do.

My only disappointment with Toms' impressive performances over the past couple of weeks is that he hasn't also managed to expose Chamblee's incompetence as an analyst. I would've hoped that that would've been part of the plan–I'm pretty sure it's in Tiger's plan.

Another great tournament in a series of great tournaments this year on the PGA Tour. Congrats to David on the win. Congrats to Charlie on a 2nd place finish. Nice to see two guys play world class golf for four days and the winner taking the tournament instead of having it handed to him.
Congrats to Brian for his work with David. There's a reason why I've been picking Toms as one of my top 5 picks for tournaments over the past few weeks. His ballstriking stats (and his putting) have been too strong to ignore. The stats I use are objective and when the data shows somebody striking the driver and the irons as well as David has this year, it's no real surprise to see the success he's having.
