Course: Stoneybrook East
Ball: Titleist Pro V1

Stoneybrook East today as I haven't played it in a while. We flew around in about 2:15 minutes. So fast that the pro shop mentioned how fast we flew around. Nice day, a little on the hot side, but still really good.
#1 - I wanted to try a 3-wood off the tee here and I smashed one down the middle. I took a look and saw why the 3-wood is good play off this tee because you basically have 30 yards of landing area with the driver and if you miss...you're either in the fairway bunker with an incredibly difficult approach shot or in the water. With the 3-wood, the landing area is much wider. Anyway, I hit a 7-iron into the wind to 20 feet and 2-putted for par (E)
#2 - Hit a driver hard, but pushed. Wound up fine and flushed an 8-iron to 8-feet and made the birdie (-1)
#3 - Flushed a 7-iron, but the wind held it up and left it short. Bump-n-run with a SW to a foot and made par (-1)
#4 - Decent driver down the middle. Tried a driver off the deck and hit it off the heel, but it went alright. Good LW pitch to 8-feet and lipped out the putt. (-1)
#5 - Hit this hard, but it pushed a tad and I actually got a good kick and it stayed in play. Hit a PW from a rough lie in St. Augustine grasss that went short of the green. So-so chip with a SW to 6-feet, but had an uphill straight putt and made par (-1)
#6 - Flushed a 5-iron, but it just missed the green. Chip to 3-feet and made par (-1)
#7 - Hit a 3-wood well to the 150 marker. Hit an 8-iron well, but pushed it. almost made the 30-footer for birdie (-1)
#8 - Good driver down the middle. I laid up with a 6-iron and hit it so-so. i get up to the ball and I'm in a DEEP divot. I actually hit it well out of there with a PW, but missed the green left. Chipped with a Sw to a few inches and made par (-1)
#9 - Good driver down the middle. Tried to get cute with a LW and pulled one to 30-feet. Terrible first putt and missed the comebacker for par (E)
#10 - Good driver down the middle. Hit a nice SW to 8-feet. Just missed the putt and made par (E)
#11 - I hit this driver hard, but the wind took it and cut it over the bunker, but it couldn't roll that much. Hit a hybrid from a tough downhill lie to about 50 yards to the pin. Pretty good pitch to 6-feet and made the birdie (-1)
#12 - Tried to hit a high shot to a front pin, but caught it thin. Still wound up with an 17-foot putt that I just missed for birdie (-1)
#13 - Good driver down the middle followed with an 8-iron onto the green. Pathetic putt for birdie here, but made the par (-1)
#14 - Decent driver down the middle. Hit a driver off the deck decent. Pitch to 6-feet and missed that birdie put (-1)
#15 - Flushed an 8-iron to 4-feet and made the birdie (-2)
#16 - Mediocre driver, but found the fairway. Pretty good 5-iron that hung up on the wind a bit and just went short. Decent chip to 4-feet, but had to make a tricky side-hiller for par (-2)
#17 - Decent hybrid down the middle. Flushed a PW, but missed a little left. Just missed the birdie putt and came away with a par (-2)
#18 - Hit a driver hard, but just pushed it. Then I had a tough lie off the hill and tried to take 2-extra clubs and still went short and in the water. Dropped, hit a SW that caught the front of the green and spun off the green. I then 2-putted for double (E)
THOUGHTS: tough pill to swallow on the last hole. I probably should have avoided the water all together and just taken a bogey or make a run at getting up and down for par. I still kept my composure and thought I generally played the course intelligently today.
