He has busted his ass to get where he is at! I was surprised that he doesn't have a bachelors of science in engineering.

The real brilliance of Tom's work and equipment is that he doesn't reinvent the wheel, but instead asks 'how can we improve what we have?'
For instance, he saw that the COR in the fairway woods and hybrid was not the same as it was in the hybrid? So he created his high COR fairway woods in the 949MC model, 8 years before the Taylor Made RBZ came out.
The same could be said about his shaft bend profile measuring system and database, his irons, Graduated Roll Technology, etc. All the engineering expertise in the world does you nothing if you don't have that type of mindset.
