I saw a Facebook user posted a video from the caddie view.
To me, you can tell a lot of Tiger's swing by looking at his finish position. His 'weaker' swings usually come with either a cut-off finish with his left humerus bone pointing downward or if his club does not fully 'wrap around' his body.
The former is usually a result of too much slide along with swinging too far left with too steep of an attack angle (swinging left to counter the downward attack angle). The latter is usually the result of too much slide and swinging too far out to the right.
Here his club more or less whips into the finish much like this video from 2001:
The Facebook video I saw had a hint of the swinging too far out to the right finish, but it just looks much better.
I figure for Tiger to have a chance at winning multiple majors, he needs to be generating *at least* 120 mph club head speed. Obviously, one can win multiple majors without generating 120 mph of club head speed, but that is usually reserved for younger players who have time on their side. With Tiger inching towards 40 years old, he doesn't have that luxury. He also needs to get into contention in every event he can and I don't think he can at the Masters with Bubba, Rory, Cabrera and Adam Scott unless he's getting at 120+ mph.
The problem is something I've seen for a while for Tour players...
When a part of their ballstriking regresses...it will take roughly an equal amount of time, if not longer, to return to their old form. So with Tiger struggling with his driver for the past year (it did improve under Foley in 2013), it may take a full year for him to get it back.
I know a lot of people are concerned about the short game, but I'm not buying that Tiger has the 'chipping yips', just yet. I'll reserve judgment on that until he starts struggling in a few more events with the short game.
