Hi guys, Long time fan of the blog here. I'd love to get thoughts on my swing. My ball-striking has always lagged well behind my short game, and I'd desperately like to change that. Below is my swing from a couple of weeks ago. Here are some things I'd like to improve. - Close the clubface earlier in the downswing
- Get more pressure into the left foot at start of downswing
- Increase side bend at impact
All the best, Jmorrow

One thing I keep coming back to is my head movement in the late backswing and downswing. The red line represents my head at address. You can see that my head moves forward towards the top of the backswing but then falls backwards as I get closer to impact. I don't believe that the downswing movement is all that uncommon (could be wrong?), but the backswing movement forwards doesn't seem ideal. Could this be caused by too little axis tilt at address?

Any thoughts on how to best increase my clubhead speed? I'm 5'7" and 145 lbs with a driver speed of around 100 MPH. The strength of my game is definitely my wedges, but I don't get those in my hands much at courses over 6500 yards.
Below are some areas I see as opportunities along with my thoughts.
•Wrist Hinge: My experiments with adding more wrist hinge haven't shown much of an increase in CHS (~2%). •Longer Arm Swing: I've worked hard over the years to shorten my arm swing which seems to keep my body in-sync well. That being said, I'd like to be able to play longer courses. •Weight Shift: I have very little visual shift either way in my swing, and also feel very little pressure in my feet. •Using the Ground: I could work on getting into the ground during the transition and then thrusting my hips upward similar to Jordan Spieth. This is something that has been recommended by my instructor but has been hard to implement.
