This is my first post in the short-game section. I thought that some of you may be interested in my side-saddle putter head. It is the only way that I can generate a straight putt. I first ensure that the line on the ball faces the center of the hole. I then ensure that the central blue line is straight-in-line with the blue line on the ball. I also ensure that the two outer lines (innermost ones) are exactly along the outer border of the ball. I then only look at the ball when stroking, and I never look at the target. Note that the shaft enters the head on the opposite side - that allows the putter to track perfectly straight in a pendular motion. That's a laser light in the center - for practice. There are metal weights under each of those black plugs. Here is a picture showing my putting style. Jeff. p.s. The putter face doesn't look straight/perpendicular due to camera angle distortion.

When I was 12 years old and just got into the game I played with a gentleman who created his own side saddle putter. He made just about everything with it and it was quite impressive

I tried it for a summer. Then quit the game for 2 years, lol. It was a last ditch attempt at scoring for me. Good from inside 10', distance control was difficult.
I now average under 2 putts per green with a "normal" center shafted putter. I just had to practice and pick a pattern to stick to. Same as the full swing.
Good luck with it. I hope it helps you.
