Wooohooooo!!!!!!! 10 out of 10 NFL panelists, including 2 computer simulations, pick the Cowboys over the Bears. Except the game ain't played on paper. Actually, after the first few offensive series by the Bears, it didn't look like Cutler would be able to finish the game. The Cowboys DL was dominating the Bears OL, and getting sacks and hits on Cutler. He did all he could just to avoid negative plays. The rushing offense wasn't going anywhere, and everything underneath was getting eaten up by the Cowboys. Then the adjustment by Mike Martz ..... real quick passes. Not only that, he started attacking downfield. Cutler and his receivers had to play as close to a perfect game as they could, and they did. Great resiliency by the Bears! Defense was solid throughout. One thing I don't understand .... Barber seemed to be getting huge chunks of yards at will, then the Cowboys would rotate Felix Jones and he'd usually get stuffed for minimal gain. Why didn't they just stick with Barber throughout? Did I miss something? The Cowboys were easily winning the trenches battle, but the Bears found a way to win despite that. Bears, 2-0. I hope they continue to play with a chip on their shoulder.

Barber didn't run that well and Felix is the better runner.
The problem is that Jason Garrett is IMO, the worst O-Coordinator in the NFL.
In 8 quarters of football, we've pretty much trailed by no more than 7 points for 7 quarters. Yet, they've thrown the ball 99 times and have only had 1 throw travel over 40 yards in the air. And they have 3 tailbacks that could start for probably 1/2 of the teams in the league. But Garrett has no concept of how to go to the 'hot hand' in the running game. Then again, we need to run the ball first.
I've never seen a guy go from such a hot shot HC prospect into such a bumbling idiot in such a short period of time.
I give Cutler a lot of credit, he looked like he was in for a long day, but he came back and played really well. The defense for Dallas stunk, but with Wade he has a history of getting the defense turned around quickly. Garrett just regresses.
Anyway, I'm 8-7 so far this week.

Yeah, on making offensive adjustments, the Bears coaching staff outdid the Cowboys, specially when you consider the Bears lost their starting LT, then plugged in a replacement, then had to reshuffle the OL when it wasn't working .... all during the game. With Barber, Jones, and Choice, they should use them so much more, in the same way Baltimore gets maximum mileage out of their RBs and FB. Rushing offenses soften up defenses for later in the game. The Bears were laying some hard hits throughout the game. Based on this game, it "seems" that Garrett doesn't have a lot of patience when the Cowboys are trailing ... like he wants to make up the deficit faster through passing. Then again, the Bears rushing defense has been solid for 2 straight games now, so that's a tough spot .... sticking with the run versus moving the chains.

My plan was for all NFC teams that were facing AFC teams, that they'd all lose; pretty good, and doubly good for Miami beating the Vikings, but I guess it was too much to ask the Bills to beat the Packers, LOL. I had a feeling the Lions and Redskins were better than people made them out to be. Glad to see the Texans doing well. The Cowboys would benefit greatly if they go on extended, rushing drives against them to keep their offense off the field. They can sure score points, and they now have a solid rushing offense to go with their aerial attack. Great bounce back by Mark Sanchez. Go Bears, beat the Packers! Go Lions, beat the Vikings!
