Anyone play wolf? What are the rules you play with?
2 dots per hole, 1 dot per junk
Wolf tees off first, then the rest, rotating positions every hole. Wolf can go alone 4x before he hits, 3x right after, 2x after all hit. A player can shrug wolf if selected and go alone double.
Junk - Sandies, barkies, carties, polies, chippies, greenies(every hole) Hazardies.
Last 2/3 holes depending if 4/5 players last pts person goes wolf and selects order and betting amount.

I haven't played it in 15 years. One time we played it and we had 5 carry overs. So on the next hole my buddy not only goes lone wolf, but knocks in an eagle from 150 yards out.
When it comes to dots, we usually play birdies, eagles, sandies and greenies on par-3's.

I have no clue what you are talking about. Can you expand on the whole wolf thing?
I'm guessing 'barkies' and 'carties' are making par if you have hit a tree or a cart-path respectively (and not an actual cart in the latter). Likewise, hazardies making a par with a trip to a hazard I suppose.
Polies? Hitting the pin?
Chippies? Chipping in?
Never played any of these.
Are 'greenies' nearest the pin after the regulation number of shots? I've only ever played this on par threes and oddly call them oozlers or oozlams. You also lose it if you three putt and carry it forward to the next par three.

Wolf can only be played in a 4-some. You tee off in order. For example, we'll say we have: - player A
- player B
- player C
- player D
Let's say you're on the first tee and you tee off in that order (A,B,C and D). Player A tees off. He's the 'picker' of that hole. Player B tees off. If player A really likes player B's tee shot, then he can chose player B and him to be a 2-man team (low score) against players C & D. However, player A has to choose player B (if he wants him on his team) before player C tees off. Let's say player A hits a drive. Then player B hits a mediocre drive. If player A says nothing before player C hits, then player A has to decide if he wants player C or player D on his team. This is typically depending on their drive. For example, let's say player A drives. Then player B hits a mediocre drive and player A decides to wait on player C. Player C hits one O.B and player A will not take that. Then player D hits a pretty good drive. So player A decides that he and player D will play against players B&C in a low score match FOR THAT HOLE ONLY. If player A & D wind up winning that hole, they get a point a piece. So the score after the first hole would look something like this: Player A - 1 point Player B - 0 points Player C - 0 points Player D - 1 point NOW, player A does NOT have to pick a teammate. If player A hits a really good drive and players B, C & D hit poor drives, player A can go and play a match for that hole where it is Player A vs. Players B, C and D. This is called going 'lone wolf.' If player A wins, I believe the scoring would go: Player A - 3 points Player B - 0 points Player C - 0 points Player D - 0 points If player A goes 'lone wolf' and loses, I believe the points go: Player A - 0 points Player B - 1 point Player C - 1 point Player D - 1 point So the reward is max for going lone wolf if you win, but the risk is maxed when you go lone wolf and lose. Then on hole #2, the order switches. Player B will tee off first and will be the 'picker.' Then player C tees off, then player D and then player A. And then on #3 it goes C, D, A and B. I'm not sure what the 'barkies' and some of the other stuff are. We usually call for double points on birdies, give a point on a greenie (ball must be on the green and closest to the pin on a par-3), sandies (up and down for par or better from the sand) and quadruple the points for eagles. 3JACK

It is a fun game to play. But like anything, you need to have guys playing to their handicap or guys that are all equal in playing ability.
