Hi everybody, I just enjoyed the post of Richie on clubfitting and I must say that I agree with him (as it occurs almost on all his posts) .
I just bought a set of Mizuno Comp Ez ( a set that I've owned about 8 years ago and that I really enjoyed) as a back up and I'd like to go Richie's way: I usually play 2* flat on my irons (measured on a "liar" lie board....!) and being that I fight an OTT move I'd like to try to go 4* flat and see what happen (I'm not saying that I'll stop to work on my OTT, but I'm just curious) .
I'd like also to try a shorter driver but making the measurement I realised that If I apply the Richie formula of 1 inch over the belly button, I should play a 42,12" driver..?? I'm a small player at 5,6" but I think that 42,12 is maybe too short.
I'd like to hear from Richie and from all the other members of the forum if somebody has tried such a short driver and if there is a reasonable measure to try before to go so short (I was thinking a first step could be 44" ) . Plaese note that I usually play off the shelves driver (Adams 9015d and Cobra S2) .
Being an italian golfer I do not have access to trackman or similar stuff, and the clubfitting here is almost at the stone age !!!
Thanks to all the members that will take the time of answering me, and please excuse my mistakes in writing in english.

Welcome aboard ottonegolf. I think you're in a difficult position because most of us would be able to find a driver at whatever length we want, try it out, and see if we liked it or not. A good friend of mine that I grew up with, was one of the best amateurs in the state and played high level college golf (he could beat me 70% of the time). He was about 5'7" or so and hit 43" drivers, even the titanium ones, so much better and LONGER than if he went with 44" or 45" drivers.
