I am pleased to announce that James Hirshfield, aka MoradMan, has joined our forum as a member. As a very successful junior and Division II college player, James studied extensively under two coaches who learned directly from David Leadbetter and Mac O’Grady. Following his time as a student, James decided that he wanted to pursue a path helping other golfers better understand THEIR own games. He continued his study and research of the Mac O’Grady/darome philosophies on golf instruction and over the past two years has had the opportunity to work and learn directly from Mike Bennett and Andy Plummer. In his time with Mike and Andy (teaching many schools helping players of every level), he quickly realized that the Stack and Tilt pattern is the most efficient way possible to strike a golf ball. Like all Golf Evolution instructors, James believes in keeping things simple for the student, that the learning process never stops, and that the laws of geometry and physics govern everything that happens during the golf swing. As noted above James is also known to many, throughout the world, as MoradMan. His love for the game leaves him, many nights, working the Internet golf forums and message boards helping students of all levels. If you have had the chance to get advice from MoradMan himself you certainly know what we mean. Lesson Rates: Individual 1 hr (inc. high speed video analysis w/ V1 Golf software): $90 (Erie county residents ask about specials and promotions), Juniors $65 Small groups: Please call us at 814-464-3446 for details and information. Contact James directly by mobile phone at 814-464-3446 or by email via james@thegolfevolution.com.

That reminds me. I need to remove "V1" from the site. We haven't used V1 in months... ;-)

Thanks tightdraw. I'm looking forward to helping as many people as possible. Golf instruction has been failing to get passionate golfers to improve for way too long, so hopefully, with some truth, we can now get golfers playing to the level they deserve to be.

Thanks gmbtempe. There is deceptively alot of information in some of those pics with the descriptions.
I have to give credit to the hard work the golfers put in. I'm just the knowledge bank. It is them that stand there infront of the scary camera doing what I ask.

How can anyone say using video and a line drawing program in this manner isn't helpful? This makes it so visually easy to follow for student, teacher, and after the fact, for the rest of us trying to follow and learn. I enjoy your work James.

I'm not a fan of using lines for stuff like the plane. George and I use video quite extensively, but we hardly ever draw lines and I don't recall ever drawing a plane line. I think the perception error is too great and can be detrimental.
That being said, I'm an experienced golfer who has some knowledge about the golf swing. Somebody less experienced and less knowledgeable may not be able to grasp concepts such as the swing plane right away or have an inaccurate perception of certain concepts.

Obviously, the camera angle isn't the same in both pictures, so there is a little parallax, but an experienced teacher can easily see and work around it to reach his goals with the student. Kevin
