My coach wanted me to change to a SGI irons. Titleist AP1. so I did. with KBS tour stiff.
whats driving me nuts is that the reduced spin compared to cavity player really very tough for me to hold any greens .
can we do anything to increase the spin?

Why did your coach want you to switch?

Rich, I am trying that now, Seem bridgestone 330s improves the situation slightly. Need test further. how bout iron technique?
cloran, cause I simply dont have the time to practice. My old irons is too much of handful and too stiff shaft. Another irons too soft , so My coach suggest find something more flexible and find more forgiving irons.

I see...
You can always try hitting a fade into the green. Set up left of your target and swing along your new foot line... don't open your face at the same time though, maybe even close it a hair to your target. Just make sure you are swinging further left than your face is pointing.
The ball should start just left of your target and fade back towards it, and hopefully hold the green.
Of course, you may need time to practice this.
