I'm toying with the idea of purchasing an iPad 2, however, the shutter speed on the camera is only 30 frames per second.
What Casio series is the most popular for videoing a golf swing? I'll take the new or older models and want to be able to zoom in to get a good closeup at 240 fps (that seems like the top end fps to get a golf swing for a Casio camera under $350).
Will the Casio sync with an iPad?

Not sure on the sync part... but I'd think they have to. $350 is plenty for a Casio. Get the Fh20 or the newer version of it if you want to drop a bit more coin. I don't think you have too though.. I have the 100 (take a look at my videos) which is fine in daylight. Crappy in any other light, but they are cheap so what do you expect. R3J has the 20... Greg may too, not sure... but their videos always look great (filmed outdoors helps).

I have the casio ex-fs10....I bought it brand new for $110
Video looks like this:
without good light it can get a bit dim on the high speed mode...but it is literally smaller than my smart phone and I can keep it in my pocket while I play.
I bought a 52" collapsible tripod I keep in my bag. Along with the 2 class 4 8 gig ultra sdhc cards I got it all done for under $170 shipped.

I have the FC100, new two years ago it was $240. 210fps is fine for all outdoor, but at 420 it gets a tad blurry...........but I have never needed 210 for any swing analyzing.

I saw the EX-FH 20 on Amazon for $500+ (ouch) and $350 on a differnet website.
Is the EX-FH 20 better in low light than the EX-FS 10?
How does th EX-FH 20 compare to the FC100 in low light?
It looks like the biggest issue is the video capture in low light since the speed of the video looks the same.

the 20 is better but its also much bigger, the 10 or 100 are more portable for multi use.
the 20 is a little better light wise.
IMO they all stink in poor lighting.

I love how compact and portable mine is, also keep in mind that they publish "darker" on you tube than they are on my screen when I download them. they are simply unacceptable indoors unless you ahve a halogen work lamp pointing at you or something, outdoor they may be a bit dark but are plenty bright on even the most cloudy day ( I livein Oregon I should know)

Also you can do HD in full speed, just a matter of time before HD slow speed is slo mo.

The 100 really is a great camera. 10mp pics for your everyday use. Super simple editing functions for videos. I usually film my swing, watch it back, and crop the video all within a minute or so.The only neg is high speed in low light... but even then I still use it to film my swing and I can make out where the moving parts are.
I got a 10GB class 6 card and a gorilla mini tripod. I just wrap the legs of the tripod around my driver to set up for filming. It will stick your camera to pretty much anything... love it.

Also you can do HD in full speed, just a matter of time before HD slow speed is slo mo. That may be true, but consider file size and how fast cards will need to be to write a full frame of HD video data 200+ times per second. I don't know that it will be as soon as you think.

If you are looking to save a little money, Amazon has the EX-FS10 for ~$90. It does 210, 420, and 1000 fps as the others do, it's just smaller and not as great at low light. It's what I have, and I've been happy with it. I can't really tell you the differences between it and the more expensive ones because, well, I don't know them.

The sensor for 10 and the 100 are the same, therefore the low-light will be the same. The FH-20 also has the same sensor. The sensor is what determines the low light performance. The lens plays a role, and that is why people think the 20 is better in low-light. The 20 lens is WAY better, thus the higher price tag. The difference between the 10 and the 100 is zoom. 100 gives you 5x and the 10 gives you 3x. For shooting video likely for you is meaningless.
The biggest benefit of the 20 is manual exposure. This means you can set the exposure really short and capture the face of the club in the downswing. Most video even at 210 you can't see the face because the exposure is too short. Also the 20 has a wider field of view so you can have the camera closer to you when working in tight spaces.
My recommendation if you are only using this for video is the 10. Now, if you also want it to double as a camera you take on family vacations as a casual camera, I would get the 100, and if you are more serious about better video and you want pretty good photos from your vacation get the 20.
Syncing to iPad is not easy. Apple has foolishly not put USB ports on the iPad. So you will need a special cable to get it to your iPad. I think they made a converter from USB to the funky iPad input, but I am not totally sure.
Most important as iacas alluded to is the memory card. Get a good one. Don't skimp here otherwise you will have skipping in the video.

For memory cards, I bought a 8 GB class 6 card from Office Max (or Office Depot, I forget which it was) for $40. That's the best deal I could find on a name brand in stores, but it appears that Amazon has San Disk brands ones for under $30.
