Pick 7 courses, anywhere in the world, that you could play. - Augusta National - tournament tees only
- Cape Kidnappers (New Zealand)
- Pine Valley (NJ)
- Cypress Point (CA)
- Pebble Beach (CA)
- Carnoustie (Scotland)
- St. Andrews
From what I've been told, the tournament tees at Augusta are only used for...the Masters. And I've been told that while Augusta is awesome, it loses its luster a bit from the non-tournament tees. Pine Valley looks really awesome, I can just imagine spending a nice summer day in south Jersey playing there. Carnoustie has always intrigued me since one of my friends, who was a great amateur golfer said he played there once and shot 81...and felt like he played the round of his life St. Andrews for history, although I don't dig cold weather. 3JACK

1. Cypress Point 2. Seminole 3. Oakmont 4. San Francisco Golf Club 5. Olympic Lake 6. Pine Valley 7. Colonial
My list includes many of the courses near where I live. I have been close a few times to playing Olympic Lake including playing the Ocean course (the other course, also known as the parking lot when the US Open is there). San Francisco is very exclusive, as much maybe even more than Cypress. And then I would like to play some classics like Seminole, Oakmont and Colonial. 5.

3JACK I feel lucky I have gotten to play all of those except for Augusta and Pine Valley. My list would go like this in no particular order: 1. Augusta 2. Bandon Dunes 3. Old Macdonald 4. Cape Kidnappers 5. Royal Melbourne 6. Ballybunion 7. Muirfield Of course many others come to mind, but I would hate to push any of those off the list. Kauri Cliffs is on par with cape kidnappers btw except of course for #15 which is so crazy distinct you have to upgrade it for that purpose alone.

1. Augusta 2. National Golf Links of America 3. Shinnecock Hills 4. Fisher's Island Golf Club 5. St. Andrew's 6. Kapalua Plantation Course 7. Hilton Head
I'd give a kidney to play these courses... heck, I'd give one just to play the NY courses on the list.
I can't not let my life end without playing some of these. They're all on the bucket list.

Here's a mega-cool blog of a guy who has played all but 3 of the top 100 courses.....in the *world* (one of them being Augusta) top100golf.blogspot.comIn particular, I really dig his experience of playing Sand Hills in Nebraska, which is in the middle of nowhere and is ranked #11 top100golf.blogspot.com/2006/07/sand-hills-golf-club.htmlHere's the crazy thing about Sand Hills...they only spend $1.2 million making the course. They basically got there and found that the land was almost made for golf. 3JACK
