Is it just me or does every pin at Augusta violate the 3* slope rule? I suspect a 3* slope limit might be high given the stimp at Augusta.
There's an interesting article in GolfWorld (or GolfWeek, so many golf mags) that touched on Augusta switching from Bermuda to bent grass without changing the slopes of the greens. There's no doubt in my mind that the bent grass greens create more drama.

The Masters isn't a part of the PGA Tour or the USGA or the R&A, so it doesn't have to worry. I'd have to hear from Mark Sweeney and what his impressions are. He did say that Augusta is one of the EASIEST greens to read that the Tour pros play on. He said the hardest is probably St. Andrews

I know the "rule" isn't a real rule that applies in events, but it's a good rule of thumb.
