I personally thought Kevin and Brian handled the thread great. It would have been easy to delete the post and move on, but answering the questions and taking blame was big. I do not believe they were bad lessons from what I read just somehow when VJ got home it did not click.
I myself teach and love to read different theories. I learned most of my teaching from getting lessons when I played professionally. I have had some really bad lessons given to me. When I started getting more into teaching I started working on different parts of my golfswing and wow my swing got bad. Lost complete feel for the clubface big wipes. So, I went to get a lesson from a local LPGA pro. She never fixed the clubface and tried to get me more open at impact. Looking back now it is hilarious how bad that lesson was.
It would be interesting to see Brian or Kevin fix him and explain what they did differently.

Brian,
I would be willing to participate in a "thread" on the subject that can be posted in this forum +/- your forum. I prefer not to participate in "real life" verbal discussions because I don't have enough time to think carefully when talking extemporaneously, and I tend to misrepresent my own position by "speaking without thinking".
Jeff.

I have definitely learned my lesson about not bringing video capabilities with me to every lesson and I will from now on. I thought it was interesting how some people made the statement that it was my fault, when they weren't there and have never even seen my current swing, or Brian teach. Huh?? Just to clarify for all that read this. The BIGGEST issue I am having is not understanding my swing and why I feel like I have no control over the club or low point. All I really want is for someone to spend a couple of hours with me, so I can learn the Why, How and to what extent we will change things about my swing. I feel that I did get some conflicting info. between Kevin and Brian, but it was MY fault AND responsibility to ask tons of questions about the what and the why DURING and following the lesson. Hopefully the next time I can get what I want.

Richie and Jeff. Here is an idea. I would like to do a talk with both of you guys about teaching, similar in production to the one I did with Damon and Kevin. We could talk about a couple of different things, and you guys can post it up on your websites as well as mine. You can ask me ANYTHING you want, and of course I can do the same. Jeff and I have had some nice chats, and I think you are a bright guy as well Richie. What do you think? BManz brian, there is a thread here that is titled, promote yourself. go for it. i personallly do not want to here any more teaching philosophies . l listened to yours on your site and that would be enough for me. you mentioned the 11 degree inside thoughts of another teacher. there is a thread here regarding that very issue. jump in and give your thoughts. you have become a member. now earn your stripes. richie is the general and is doing a good job. not much deleting going on here. love ya, bro

Brian - Sounds good to me, although it would be something I'd like to do next week if your schedule fits.
joec - Thanks for the kind words. While I think the 'Promote Your Stuff' folder is really a great way to introduce people's work in golf free of charge, what I've run into is people are just plain timid about doing so because they don't want to come off as pushing their product on somebody. I'll put Brian in a post since I think he's contributing and our possible future conversation just helps to the matter.
Plus, contributors are free to promote their stuff in any folder. I just created a folder for it so the contributor's work can be more easily noticed by readers.
