Is anyone here experiencing the same situation as I am on Paypal? I have been an eBay seller for 12 years, 100% positive feedback. Been a PayPal member for 11 years+ and never had an issue caused by my actions. Now, they have seen fit to put a hold on every payment I receive from Ebay selling, for up to 21 days. That includes any shipping amount, although they say that if I upload tracking numbers, the shipping charges will be refunded in 24 hours or less.
I have been on the phone with a PayPal rep twice in the last month trying to figure out why, but no answers that really fit my situation. Nobody can remove this policy from my account for 30 days and it sucks.
It only applies to sales on eBay, so that will help, a little bit. I don't use eBay that much, as sites like this one make it possible to get most of what I sell to customers looking for that item.
The last two auctions I listed wound up going to Austria and Pennsylvania. I believe that when the Pennsylvania man receives his putter, if he leaves positive feedback, the money will be released. However, the one heading for Austria will take 6-10 days, JUST TO GET THERE! Then, if there are no issues or complaints, PayPal will automatically release my money 3 days after the projected arrival date. So, I am basically out a putter and the selling price for up to 2 weeks! How is this a good thing or good change?
Just had to vent as the lady at PayPal was very nice on the phone, but gave me no good reason for this being done to my account and no acceptable solution. Best solution? Quit selling on Ebay and use the forums more.
When eBay bought PayPal, a bit of a monster may have been created. Between the fees of both entities and now the new rules, both companies should be doing very, very well.
Just my rant.
