Worked on my swing quite a bit earlier on after a day of struggles on Saturday. I think I see where some of the issues are, but it's difficult because the swing is looking pretty good right now. Course was very wet and it was pretty windy out.
#1 - Good driver down the middle. So-so 3-hybrid short of the greenside bunker. Okay pitch. 2-putt for par (E)
#2 - Good driver dwon the middle. Decent PW to 15-feet. Mis read the putt, but made par (E)
#3 - Skanky 8-iron short and right of the green. Actually an easy chip, but I chubbed it and 2-putted for bogey (+1)
#4 - Decent driver down the middle. Hit a 1/2 PW into the wind and wound up on the front fringe. 2-putted for par (+1)
#5 - Good driver down the middle. Ugly 6-iron that found the green. Almost made the putt and made par (+1)
#6 - Hit a driver hard, but over-drawed it a bit. Hit a good 3-wood into the wind short of the creek. Weird 3rd shot as I hit it well and it was only a 50 yard pitch, but it didn't bite. 2-putted for par (+1)
#7 - Hit a 3-iron well, but short of the green. Pitched on. 2-putted for bogey (+2)
#8 - good driver down the left side. Pulled my Sw a bit, but made a nice 15 footer off an AimPoint read for birdie (+1)
#9 - Good driver down the middle. Was in between clubs and chose a 1/2 8-iron and hit it well, but those 1/2 shots go low and just went short of the green. a chip and a putt for par (+1)
#10 - foot slipped on my driver and I hooked it into the woods. Then I hit a great 3-hybrid over the trees and cut it perfectly. Hit a PW short of the green. Chipped on, 2-putted for bogey (+2)
#11 - argh. kid screamed playing in the house next to the tee right in my swing. So I hit a hook into the woods. But, I had a clear shot to the green. Hit a nice 8-iron just short of the green and chipped and putted for par (+2)
#12 - Ugly driver that found the middle of the fairway. Flushed a 6-iron to the green. Just missed a 30 footer for birdie and made par (+2)
#13 - heeled a 4-iron a tad and found the green. 2-putted for par (+2)
#14 - Ugly driver down the middle. Hit a so-so 8-iron that found the green. 2-putted for par (+2)
#15 - Good driver down the middle. Ugly 8-iron short of the green. Good pitch to 5-feet, but missed the par putt (+3)
#16 - Good driver down the middle. Ugly 3-wood into the woods. Punched a 6-iron beautifully under the trees and rolled it up onto the green. 2-putted for par (+3)
#17 - Flushed a 3-iron into the wind and missed the green to the right. Good pitch to a foot and kicked in for par (+3)
#18 - Good driver down the middle. Ugly PW. chip and a putt for par (+3)
THOUGHTS: It was uglier than it reads. However, I think I started to figure out some things and after I got done I hit a few balls down #10 and it started to click. Just some things mainly at p1 that were throwing off p2. Golf is a crazy game.
