I dont quite understand the part "Add additonal 1/8” trim to achieve frequency slope seen at ½” length increment set" So do all clubs get trimmed that amount? I dont see how that affects the slope.
Richie, have you seen the excel spreadsheet that estimates/calculates MOI?

I haven't seen the excel spreadsheet.
I think I've got a generally better idea of how this operates, but still learning it.

I missed this thread somehow... oops. lol.
A few years ago I played a set of G40 (golfsmith anniversary heads) irons that were MOI matched, spine aligned, and frequency matched by Shane Springer (thegolfshed.com). Great set... try finding any of those heads today, nearly impossible.
My personal opinion about MOI vs. Swing Weight matching? (should anyone care) I think the longer irons feel a tad light, but other than that it's hard to tell the difference.
However, (for me) the single length model is better than both MOI and swing weight matching. I haven't found anything not to like about the quasi-single length approach I have utilized... well, other than the copious amounts of lead tape; but I'm not too big on aesthetics anyhow, more of a function over form kinda' guy. If MOI matching is supposed to make all your clubs FEEL like your favorite iron, single lengthin' things will REALLY get you there. I've been having a blast with mine.
