Stupid holidays getting in the way... I won't be in the same city as my clubs until Jan 2. Then I'll get to work on some of this stuff. Thanks for the help guys. I see you asked Jeff M,. if he agree's with what I said, I can tell you he doesn't agree with anyone on anything. You are asking the guy that said your swing was really good and he wished he could have one like it and you must be a low hdcp'er. Then when you told him your score was 108 I almost spit my coffee out. That was too funny! ;D Also it's not just that your flat in the b.s. it's because the clubhead is behind your hands and way inside and off plane which causes it to be laid off all due to your takeaway, you think because it looks good at the top it's ok, trust me it's not, unless of course you can repeat a compensatory correction, but that seems not to be the case. It's all a recovery mission after that initial inside flip of the clubhead, that's why Denny made his suggestion and I agree with him. Maybe 500 balls a day will help. ;D Fix your takeaway, it's screwed up and screwing your swing up.

Ahhhhh, Home Sweet Home! Feels good to be back in the proximity of my clubs. Went to the range with the sole focus of actively abducting to get the right elbow into the slot. Here is the result: (Note: I'm still tinkering a bit with filming semi-indoors with the dark seattle weather. Next time, I'll have to raise the shutter speed and if its a bit dark, so be it.) And here are the 2 frames before P6: It seems I'm still not quite there as far as getting my elbow and the rest of the power assembly into the right spot, but to me it looks closer than it did from the previous videos/stills. Funny thing: I didn't think about takeaway or end of BS at all today, but just by thinking about actively abducting my elbow, this happened to my end of BS: I think some tees/gloves would have stayed in there! A few other spots looked similarly improved just by slightly improving that right arm abduction: (New on left, 12/21 on right) Oh, and Denny: I do appreciate your advice, and I do get what you are saying about the takeaway. I plan on focusing on that at some point, but my plan is to focus on one move at a time.

Hrmm, working on my swing can be funny sometimes. All last week I concentrated on getting my left arm slotted, and it definitely seems like I'm less behind, but I'm still hitting massive pushes. So yesterday I went to the range and concentrated on the release, and was hitting it great, straight at the target 80% of the time and was really encouraged and excited to get home and look at my swings. I got home, and it turns out I had just reverted to my old swing from last year: stalling and massively flipping. Today, I go to the range and focus on slotting the elbow again, and go back to hitting massive pushes. As I'm driving home I have to remind myself to be patient with my swing because I was really discouraged, but I get home and look at the vids, and they don't look so bad. My elbow seems to get into the right position, and I'm not doing the jumping up/losing spine angle thing that I seem to when I revert to flipping. However, one thing I noticed is that my hips and torso are not nearly as open as they were a week ago. That's from today, with a spline tool tracing the tip of my shoulder. And here's from the vid I posted on 1/3: My hips are much my cleared, my left shoulder is moving up the plane, and my shoulder turn is much steeper. Greg said that my shoulder turn was too flat. Is the swing from 1/3 more of what I'm going for?
