i'd have to look at other wedges, but the Edel's I have are far smaller in head and face size than the Cleveland Reg 588 that I have.

The extended score lines make the face look bigger for me.

K-Grind's head is larger than Edel's head design as well.

I've heard a ton of great things about the K grind. Does it have a lot of bounch Richie like the Vokey P grind (and your Edel)?

Rich -
Do you feel like you can hit the trailing edge first easier with the K grind or P grind Edel?
I know with my Scratch SFU wedge I have a lot of bounce because the sole width is so long. Much, much easier to hit the trailing edge first with that wedge for me than my Edel.

Can't really say. I don't focus on hitting the trail edge.

I have a tendency to Thin a SFU grinded Scratch. Any idea why?
I play fine with a titleist TK grind and high bouce M grind , in short its forgiving . However , The scratch is extremely precise when I hit it right, exact repeatability and trajectory . Could this be a case of SGI and Player wedge difference? eg i hit the blades very accurate but a miss is a miss .

Is the sole width the same? That will alter the effective bounce.
I had a horrible problem thinning wedges this year until I learned to have the trailing edge hit soft ground first instead of the leading edge. Hard ground you want the leading edge hitting first or else you could hit a bounce thin shot. The wedge is the easiest club to thin. It isn't easy for those 30-60 yard shots.

Sfu have 16 deg bounce less chamber. And smaller sole.. Also I had ground off some trailing edge to reduce the bounce
I'm playing the 60.10 titleist wedge fine. 58.12 also fine.

I feel your frustration on those thin shots. Not sure why. Check out Ben Crane's video on YouTube for the trailing edge hit concept.

I think I'm already following that. I using the bounce for pitch.. I had to deliberately hit even more behind the ball or I will top it.
