Course: MetroWest Golf Club
Stimp: 8.5

I had been working diligently on my swing and after a lousy round at Eastwood on Sunday, I discovered a couple of things and I had planned to play MetroWest today, so I wanted to see how they turned out.
#1 - back foot slipped in the middle of my driver swing. Not a lot on this one, but it wound up okay in the rough. Hit a PW onto the green and just missed the birdie putt (E)
#2 - wind was in our face and hit a so-so driver into the left rough. Funny, last time I had the wind with us and only had a SW into the green, this time a 5-iron. Hit a great approach to 10 feet, but missed the birdie putt (E)
#3 - Flushed a 3-iron to about 25 feet. Just missed the birdie putt and made par (E)
#4 - so-so driver in the fairway. tried to draw a 3-wood, but it cut a little. Actually put me in decent shape. Tried to hit a high PW but flew the green. Then I hit a nice chip to 3-feet and saved par (E)
#5 - Didn't quite catch a driver and wound up in the fairway bunker. Very good fairway bunker shot that found the green and then dilled a 45 footer for birdie. (-1)
#6 - Good driver down the middle. Hit a nice 8-iron to 10 feet, but this was a very slick putt, missed it...made par (-1)
#7 - So-so driver down the middle. Good 3-wood to about 60 yards. Hit a LW where I wanted to, left of the pin, but that actually left me a downhill putt (I thought it would leave me with an uphill putt). It didn't matter as I sunk the 5-foot birdie putt (-2)
#8 - Hit a 6-iron well, but I was playing to the back pin. Should've hit the 7-iron and played to the middle of the green. Decent bunker blast and had the line, but left it short. (-1)
#9 - figured out how to play the hole and you can simply hit a driver down at a big tree. Hit a PW on. Had the line, but left it short and made par (-1)
#10 - Good driver down the left side, but I had to hit a hook around a tree. Wound up with a tough lie and thought I hit a good 9-iron, but it was way too much. Misjudged the chip and made bogey (E)
#11 - good driver down the middle. hit a decent SW to 20 feet and just missed teh birdie (E)
#12 - Driver found the fairway bunker. Then pulled one into the left greenside bunker. Decent bunker blast and 2-putted for bogey (+1)
#13 - Didn't hit a driver well, but it went far. Fired one at the flag, but took a poor swing and hit it into the bunker. Good bunker blast to 4-feet and saved par (+1)
#14 - Toe hooked one into the bunker up against hte lip. Chopped it out. Hit a good 3-wood into anounter bunker. Just got it on and 3-putted for double (+3)
#15 - This 5-iron that went short and almost into the H2O. not really a good chip and saved it with a nice 15 footer. (+3)
#16 - good driver down the middle. Hit a SW, probably my best swing of the day so far, to 8-feet and made the birdie (+2)
#17 - Hit a 3-iron so-so, but was well short. I was playing with one of the guys that rangers there and he was giving me some pretty good advice on the course, like this hole playing much longer than it says because the wind will fool you. Not a very good pitch and 2-putted from 20 feet for bogey (+3)
#18 - Bombed this driver, 290 yards into the wind uphill. Then a nice 9-iron to 20 feet and just missed the birdie (+3)
THOUGHTS: I started to have some problems as we played the front 9 in 1-hour 25-minutes and then on the back 9 it took 2-hours 40-minutes. I really didn't hit the driver that well and I paid for it on the back 9. Learned some things about MetroWest as well.
