Love this shaft. It's the perfect combination of DG and PX. The shaft is nowhere near as boardy as the PX irons (I'll never play that iron shaft) and doesn't have the balloons like the DG. I added about 5-7 yards because the shot doesn't spin as much. It's nice being able to have that 5-10 mph headwind and not have to worry about the balloon shot like I did with the DG. I really see an increase in distance with my 7 iron up. Was hitting my GW (52*) 120 today which is 5 yards longer than normal.
I suspect this shaft is excellent for players with higher swing speeds who can generate a lot of spin. The ball launches quicker than the DG but doesn't fall down out of the sky like the DG. I actually don't mind the wind as much, however, my distance control is clearly off.
The weight balance of this club will decrease swingweight by 2 points at least (sorry Richie, no MOI info).
6 iron swingspeed= 93-95 mph for me to give you some perspective. I like using my hands and have an up and down type of swing.
I'm sure there are others who had a bad experience with this shaft. The DG is still a great feeling shaft, but it will cause the ball to spin more in most cases IMO.

I agree. I liked the feel and the flight of the shaft, but I just hit it 1-club shorter.

Any idea why? I don't like balloons anymore. Never had an option before the C Taper. The PX was solid steel for me. I have to get used to the initial launch being higher than I'm used to with 20+ years of DG ball flight.

I don't think it launches high enough for me.

Do you have a more shallow attack angle? I'm more of a slasher.

Thanks. I swing hard, but can't bend the PX. 20+ years of DG has me conditioned for some flex. Definitely more spin for me with the DG that I now don't like. At least there are choices now for the in between player. I still think DG dominates the shaft of choice on tour. C taper will make some in roads.
