Brian Katrek had the founder of "True Aim" on his show today. I'd never heard of the concept, but it makes a TON of sense given what I've learned from the Edel putter fittings y'all talk about. I'm positive that I aim the face of my woods inconsistently. I pretty much guarantee that it is never the same direction twice. The True Aim formula takes you through a fitting similar to that of the Edel putters. You place different alignment stickers on your driver and see how that effects your setup and ball flight. I find that really interesting... and will probably make up some of my own with my kids stickers just to give it a shot. As I was looking up some info on the company I came across this video from Sam Goulden. I've been following him on youtube for a little while now, but this video didn't resonate with me until now. Here's the website: www.mytrueaim.commygolfspy.com did a good review of the system as well, worth checking out for sure... Anyone tried them?

I've briefly conversed with TrueAim. I just haven't gotten around to reviewing it, yet.

I think the system has merit but I also think there's a potential problem.
For example, there are some days when I feel like I can rip everything when the driver is set up what looks like WAY open. Just the way I'm swinging that day or week, but that's how I like to see the face.
Then the next week I might like to see a more square setup.
It's not like putters in that sense, so I wonder if the changes are truly permanent/universal for the golfer, or if they don't change over time as the swing subtly changes, or the course we play changes to make different shapes more appealing, etc.

I normally play a small draw, today even though I was flushing it I was playing a cut. That's just the shot I showed up with so I went with it. I played great hitting a ton of fariways and greens. If I had started tweaking it because it didn't look right (which it clearly wasn't since it was not my normal ballflight) I am reasonably certain I would have gone in the tank.

I just ordered a pack of them for myself.
The permanent decals supposedly can be taken off, but they take some time and patience. I have no idea why the temporary decals would not be legal for play by the USGA. Makes zero sense.
I have some questions about its validity with a driver. We are aiming to a distance well beyond any distance we would aim with a putter. I do know that I continually have problems aiming on tee shots where the target is angled to the left. I have helped this problem by putting the ball further back in my stance, but I would say that 50% of the time I'll play it too far back and hit it lower than I want, but 280 yards down the middle still works better than 240 yard snap hooks or 250 yards push-steer-cuts.
In the end, I just don't think I would hit the ball worse and since the permanent decal can come off (it just doesn't come off all together at once like the temporary decal), it's worth a shot.

I'll sell mine (all unused) for $15. Just send me a private message. The concept isn't for me.
