I bought a set of Ping irons about 3 months ago, and the guy suggested I have them bent 2* flat. As I recall, he never did any static measurements, just had me hit balls off a lie board.
He said my contact was a touch toward the heel so I should get the irons flattened. (FWIW, when I started playing golf a few years ago, I remember someone telling me that the sweetspot was on the heel-side of center).
Anyway, I have noticed I'm hitting more thin shots than I was with my previous irons. When I examine the ball marks on the clubface, it looks like I'm actually hitting balls a bit toward the toe now.
Would a flatter lie angle contribute to thin shots/toe contact for someone used to playing standard lie clubs? Thanks.

That's a tough one. I can ask Tom Wishon about this.
