So...my buddy Hoganut are out on the range a month or 2 ago...all was well...I hadnt taken any vids of my swing in quite awhile, so it was time. I got it all set up, and was getting ready to hit a couple when a HUGE gust of wind came up and blew the damn thing over and crushing the lenses together. It was a Casio FC 100 and I loved that little sucker, even though I used it rarely.
What I need are replacement ideas with a MAX price of 250 and preferably in the 200 range. The Casios similar to mine are no more for whatever reason.
Thanks for any help

Bent,
What happened is that Casio will create a new model and then discontinue the hi-speed model about every 6-12 months.
In the beginning, the Casio models had a manual shutter option. This allowed users to tape in high speed, but to get the shutter speed where they wanted it so the picture would come in clearly. Without the manual shutter option, the high-speed still works fine, but the some things like the clubhead may come in a little blurry thru impact.
Personally, I think not having a manual shutter option is not a big deal for most golfers as the high speed camera does what they need. But, when you’re paying a few hundred dollars for a camera, some feel that they should get the whole kit and caboodle.
The latest models from Casio do not have the manual shutter option. That has caused the older models with the manual shutter option to go up high in price. For instance, my EX-FH20 model has the manual shutter option. I paid $240 for it brand new. I now see it selling on Ebay for $500 *used*. I’m not sure if the FC-100 model has the manual shutter option or not.
So if the manual shutter option is a must for you…you’re probably shit out of luck at finding one at $250 or less. If not, it’s still not an easy find. You may find a ZR-100 model for around $250 or so.
