Here’s a good video from Tom on the 929HS fairway woods. I initially started off with a 929HS fairway wood model at 15.5° loft. Here are the specs: The 929HS is something I will probably try out again during the fall or winter. I was like Adam Dunn (or Dave Kingman for you older baseball fans) when it came to the 929HS. I would either strikeout or hit the greatest fairway wood home run you ever saw. I do have a Diamana ‘Ahina Shaft in the 929HS versus a UST Mamiya VTS shaft in the 949MC. Although off the tee, I have occasionally hit some bombs with the 949MC. So while I question any difference the shafts are making, I still believe that the head design of the 929HS, which still has the high COR face, but with a lower CoG, is creating the massive distance I can hit with this club. The 929HS has a shallower head design than the 949MC. It also has a bendable hosel made from 304 stainless steel which I had bent at Edwin Watts and I was told it bends like butter. So that allows a bending of the lie and face angle, 4°, in either direction. Hard to really say whether the 949MC or 929HS appeals to a certain type of golfer. I think it’s mostly personal preference. 3JACK
