Dallas fans finally have a good team. The weird thing is that I like Jerry Jones as an owner, I love the new stadium and have always liked Tony Romo as a QB. I just hate Dallas and their fans (even though Philly fans are the worst - I don't go to games).

I like a lot of things about the new stadium, but it has some things about it that I see that are wrong with sports.
They do have badly obstructed views. I know the new Yankee Stadium has it as well. Their counter is that they tell the fans of the obstructed view and at the new Yankee Stadium, the OV seats cost something like $10. But to me, it just sends a message of trying to grab every dollar they can from the fans.
I also hate the concept of PSL's. I know just about every team has them now, but I think it's a bad idea.
Philly fans are fine when they are by themselves or if they are in a group, but far away from Philly. But the closer they get to Philly the more violent they act.
Probably the worst thing I have ever seen was by a Packers fan.
I was living in Atlanta and my friend and I went to sports bar to watch the games. The Packers lost to the Bengals. There was a Lions fan there and he was watching his game (I think they were playing the Vikings) and you could hear him being into the game, but it wasn't bothering anybody.
The Packers lost and the Lions fan was going to the bathroom and never said a word to the Packers fan and the Packers fan just smashed a beer mug right into the Lions fan's face. It made him a bloody mess and they had to get the ambulance and the whole 9 yards.
The Packers fan claimed that he thought the Lions fan was going to punch him and everybody there said that was bullshit and then the Packers fan took off and the cops were looking for him. I think they eventually caught him.

Good point about the Philly fans in Philly. It's the armpit of New York and we just don't want to face facts. I'm embarassed most of the time how Philly fans conduct themselves. No thought whatsoever. My neighbor is a big Dallas fan so I have to be anti-Dallas. I don't really mind them deep down because I respect Jerry Jones so much. My pro is an obnoxious Steelers fan so now I have to hate the Steelers even though I really never hated them before his nonsense surfaced.

I never realized the importance of a backup long snapper, until now. Its odd to watch a Raider team than can tackle, but can't cover WRs man to man, usually its the opposite.
The 49ers are what they were last year on Defense, and on offense they are deeper. I don't see how they don't win 10 games this year.
The refereeing was solid in the Raider game, but in the Niner-Packer game it was just odd. That game seemed like a series of make up calls, it reminded me of the NBA. That crew has no idea what is pass interference... oh wait, niether do the regular refs.

For the same reasons I cant stand 49er fans, aside from the obnoxious ones, there are too many thugs/gang members wearing 49er jerseys around these parts. They are just as bad as Raider fans but don't get called out for it. A Raider/49er game is like going to a prison yard.

It will be interesting to see if the dynamic changes when they move down here to the South Bay. Raider fans have always been a rough bunch but I think the 49er fan base has changed a bit. In the 80's going to game the crowd is quite different than going to a game today. I agree with your sentiments on the fans today. The crowd that goes the Sharks games is much less agressive so it will be interesting to see once the 49ers are down here. I drove past the site and it is going up much faster than I expected. A good deal of framing is done. Watching a football stadium get built is quite interesting.

I just want a SuperBowl so the Eagles can sit at the big boy table! Pathetic that in my lifetime the Saints and Tampa Bay both have rings and we don't. I remember when the Saints and Tampa Bay were ranked BELOW the University of Miami!!!!

I can't wait for the Raiders to do the same. Sharks games are a breath of fresh air, and its the only venue I would take my family to.

This is the most amazing thing I have ever read by a Philly fan. I've been going to school in Delaware for a little over 2 years now, and it's amazing how delusionally confident Philly fans can be (not that my fellow Boston fans are much better).

Your fellow Boston fans have rings in many sports! That's not confidence, that's fact!
Philly fans are delusional. We are so bad at so many sports and we think that we're the greatest. Everytime I see a "worst" team episode on SportsCenter a Philly team is mentioned. Shameful. A bunch of cheats and drunks fill the stands routinely.

Yes, I've seen it. Back when I used to have more time on my hands I would be all over it.
The Tour has the ShotLink data which you can still go back into.

I've been doing some new research recently on the NFL and wanted to come up with particular games and look at their point spreads.
Last week I took the Niners over the Lions. The point spread was -7 (niners) and they won by 8 (they gave up a late TD for that).
This week my picks are Denver getting +3 against Houston along with San Diego giving up -3 to the Falcons.

Last week was a mini-disaster. I thought the Broncos would do better against the Texans, although the spread screamed ‘VEGAS KNOWS SOMETHING.’ I was more leery of the SD vs. Atlanta spread because Atlanta runs the ball well and the other side was being coached by a guy named Norvel Turner, notorious for crushing bettors hearts by coming up lame at home.
Anyway, here’s what I like for next week:
Rams to cover the spread against the Seahawks. Spread is currently 3 points in favor of Seattle.
New England to cover the spread against the Bills. Spread is currently 4 points in favor of the Pats.
Jacksonville to cover against Cincinnati. Cincinnati is a 2 ½ point favorite.
Eagles to cover against the G-Men, currently Eagles are 2-point favorites.

Phew, had to take a break from football after that stinker Cutler and the OL had against the Packers. I'm back, now that the Bears beat the Rams, LOL! The Bears have to switch up their offense to dink and dunk, because the OL (specifically on the left side) is just too much of a liability. Even against the Rams, the DE could get outside LT Webb too easily. I was impressed with the gameplan of the Titans against the Jaguars, and with Jake Locker. Locker got rid of the ball immediately and decisively ... I mean really, really, really quickly. Almost all of his passes were accurate, and he even connected on a few deeper passes. I was impressed with his composure and demeanor throughout the whole game. Also, he controlled the aggressiveness of the Lions DL, drawing them offsides 3 or 4 times with his snap count, so that later, the Lions became a bit tentative when trying to time the count for their rush. The Titans maybe had the special teams play of the year when, during the kickoff, the player who caught the ball threw a pass across the field laterally, and his teammate then ran it to the endzone. Andrew Luck is amazing. No way should a rookie be that composed under pressure, read defenses that well, and have full command of his new offense with new teammates. He also moves great in and out of the pocket, and never seems to rush throws. The only mistakes he seems to make is with the deep throws, where he sometimes underthrows them, or throws them a bit late. Lof of media complain about the Packers game, and the bad call of a TD, but the drive that gave the Packers the lead happened because of pass interference call that wasn't, no matter which angle the camera showed. It was 3rd and 2 at the Seahawks 47, and with should've been an incomplete pass, the Packers would either have to go for it on 4th down at mid-field, kick a 64 yard FG, or punt. Poor officiating, but it went both ways. Wow, Seahawks, where'd they come from? Irvin is turning out to be a great pick, and the DBs were holding their own against the WRs of the Packers, one on one, forcing Rodgers to hold onto the ball longer than he usually does. The Bears better have a solid game plan against the Cowboys, or Ware will have 2+ sacks and several hits and pressures on Cutler.
