At Hamilton Mill which has a 139 slope. Haven't played there in awhile, but I generally enjoy the course. IMO, tough course to hit a lot of greens because it's pretty long on some holes and very hilly.
#1 - Good drive down the middle. Hit 5-iron into the green. Hit it flush, but pushed it right of the green. Weak pitch. 2-putted from 20 feet (+1)
#2 - Toe hooked a driver and wound up in good postion. GW into the green, good shot but on a severe downhill slope. Excellent 2-putt (+1)
#3 - Good drive down the right side. Tough lie, but bunted a hybrid to 110 yards. Good PW and almost made the 15 foot birdie try (+1)
#4 - Pushed a 3-iron to the right, but hit it well. Excellent pitch to 5 feet. Saved the par (+1)
#5 - Great drive down the middle. Good 6-iron, but caught the tier and went 50 feet left of the cup. 3-putt, which is about all anybody is going do from there. It's just a poorly designed hole (+2)
#6 - Another good driver down the left side. Awesome 3-iron into the green, right over the flag. Impossible putt that went 10 feet by, but made the comebacker. (+2)
#7 - Decent driver off the tee. Played it safe with a hybrid. Then hit a nice 8-iron to 18 feet and drained the birdie (+1)
#8 - Almost knocked a 9-iron into the cup. Made a 3-foot birdie. (E)
#9 - Awesome driver down the left side. 7-iron and then a great 2-putt from 35 feet (E)
#10 - Good driver down the left side, but left again with another funky lie. Bunted a 5-iron safety to 135. Thinned an 8-iron to 25 feet and 3-putted. Argh. (+1)
#11 - Nice driver down the left side. Nice 9-iron to 12 feet. 2-putted for Par (+1)
#12 - Very bad swing that was hit badly off the heel, but it went pretty well and you probaby would not have noticed it had I not told you. Then I hit too much club with a 7-iron and went over the green. Nastly lie and used the wrong club on the chip. Then drilled a 12 footer to save par (+1)
#13 - Nice driver down the middle. Nice hybrid in between the bunkers. Caught a GW pitch a little fat and 2-putted from 20 feet. Need to get some new wedges soon...mine are too upright (+1)
#14 - Another nice driver down the middle. Flushed 4-iron that was a tad to the right, but the way the green is shaped I wound up missing it right. Nice flop to 6 feet, missed the par save (+2)
#15 - Thinned a 5-iron short of the green. Easy pitch and a tap in (+2)
#16 - Another great driver up the middle. 4-iron that missed the green slightly to the right. Flopped a LW to 5-feet and made the par save (+2)
#17 - Push thinned a 4-iron. Couldn't get up and down (+3)
#18 - Great drive down the left side. Hit a 4-iron to 30 feet and 2-putted (+3)
36-39=75 (+3)
12/14 Fwy
11/18 GIR
32 putts
4/7 Scramble
Hit the driver well today and hit the irons well until #15. Putted better, although the greens there are in better condition. Got the hands lower at address with putting. Was working on Module 2 of ABS. Need to keep my knee flex or I start catching shots thin.
