To those forum members who are interested in my opinions, I have just published a revised version of my backswing chapter. perfectgolfswingreview.net/backswing.htmMy original version was posted on my website in December 2006. This new version represents a major rewrite/revision. I have included my "newest" golf instructional insights in this revision, and I have discussed many topics in great detail eg. right forearm takeaway, left arm flying wedge concept, concept of a geometrically FLW, the "twistaway" maneuver. Positive/negative feedback and error-correction suggestions will be appreciated. Jeff.

jeff, i have always tried to keep the left wrist flat at the top since i started studying tgm. not any more. someplace in the book it says a bent left wrist will help you not have throwaway. jeff evans switched me from flat to bent and it helped me immediately to make better contact. i just saw on the secret in the dirt site , in the golf machine section, a statement from lag pressure, saying that the tgm clan has butchered the flat left wris t thought for a long time. a bent left wrist does not mean you will cross the line at the top. i think that comes with a cocked right wrist at the top. so, i will not follow your advice on the left wrist. but i will keep enjoying your posts.

Not that it relates directly to this paper, which I am in the process of digesting, there was one big mistake in the videos.........you can't wear long sleeve dark clothes as it gets very hard to see where specific parts of the body are at. Short sleeves and a lighter colored shirt!

Joe - do you understand the difference between a bent left wrist and a geometrically FLW at the end-backswing position?
Which one do you recommend, and why?
Jeff.

Joe,
You wrote-:- "jeff. for me, i want bent. for someone else, it is an option."
I suspect that your post was accidently posted in the wrong thread (weight distribution thread).
You are free to choose a bent left wrist at the end-backswing position.
I simply want to understand the reason for your choice.
Jeff.

I haven't read the entire thing, but good stuff from what I've read.
Jeff was very instrumental in my 'comeback' to the game. I decided when I got back into the game I was going to do things I believed in when it came to developing my golf swing. In the past I had been told that learning TGM and using video camera could actually ruin your swing. So when I came back I decided to do things like learn TGM and just about everything I could on the mechanics and physics of the swing (and I purchased a camcorder)
Jeff's Web site was my first big introduction to this type of information and understanding it. Very glad to have him here.

Joe, When you talk about preferring a bent left wrist at the end-backswing position, does this photo represent what you mean by a bent left wrist? Jeff.

If any forum member thinks that the golfer in the photo (in my last post) has a bent left wrist, then they need to read question 6 in my backswing chapter. perfectgolfswingreview.net/backswing.htmThat photo is of David Toms, who has a geometrically FLW at the end-backswing position. Jeff.
