I would like to some of my Wishon 555's refinished by The Iron Factory. Here's a fantastic piece of work they did
I pulled out the 555's the other day and they are still a fantastic iron. In fact, I tend to think they are better than the 575MMC's. Between the bounce angle and the grind, there's something about the 555's that make that club to turf interaction fantastic. I would like to get it one day where I could re-do the 555's, have my 575MMC's, my Mizuno TN-87's and my Hogan 67 PC5's all in a rotation. But, that may be a pipe dream.
I am going to purchase a Tour Links indoor putting green.
I plan on getting one after I finish up writing 2013 Pro Golf Synopsis. I will be getting the 13-foot model. I figure this will allow me to practice putting more often and get myself on a consistent green speed so it doesn't throw me off when I play greens that are faster than a 10 on the stimp.
I'm interested in the Nippon Modus 3 shafts. They have 2 versiosn, the 120 and the 130. The only difference is the 130 is kinda like the KBS C-Taper to the KBS Tour. It's designed for a lower ball and more penetrating ball flight. I plan on trying out both shafts. They're not cheap at $37 retail.
I'm particularly interested in their steel spring alloy that they use. They are also constant weight shafts, so I won't have to add so much weight to them in order to get them MOI Balanced.
I also have a different idea of how to construct what I call the 'Gonzo Wood.' The Gonzo Wood is going to be a bit of a secret for now. Once Pro Golf Synopsis is done, I will explain the current 'Gonzo Wood' I have and what I plan on doing to alter it for Gonzo Wood v2.0.
I may experiment with trying to get a different wedge. I actually like the 52-degree Ping Tour-S Rustique, but I'm curious if I could do better. I would like to try a Scratch wedge out and see if we can come up with the grind.
