I think you have a very nice swing, the camera may be a little crooked in the face on but it looked like your head was moving slightly back on the downswing with the axis tilt you create? It was a 3 wood and not an iron so maybe that explains it.
Is your miss a hook?

Sorry, I should have said. Generally, yes. I can miss both sides with a flip. Lefts are more common at the moment. The shot that really used to cost me was a big high right, but this hasn't been bothering me as much. I saw the spine-tilt as well and quite liked it! The lefts with the longer clubs feel like I am hanging back on my right side, but those swings don't look like that at all. The is primarily why I have been doing the closed face drill - to try and promote more lower half and less hands in the downswing. On the way back, I tend to get inside and under the plane, with my hands getting too deep. I am still seeing a bit of this, but it is improving. It always looks a little bit closed as well, but, again, it is improving. Apologies also for the camera angles and all. Very amateurish compared to what everyone else can manage. Makes it look like I am hitting into an uphill lake... Interested to hear any more thoughts!

Knocked it round six over yesterday. Windy and rainy to start with, but not very consistent. Some great shots, but some awful ones too. Still missing short irons left. Decent driving is saving me.
First Saturday I haven't worked in six months today and might get to the range tomorrow. Can't really complain as I feel like I am making some big changes for the better. Got to keep an eye on how I take it to the course...

I'd focus on keeping space between arms more constant in backswing (elbows closer together at the top) and closer together in the followthrough (practice short followthrough with no recocking of the club). This will help you maintain the right wrist bend longer into and through impact.
As that becomes more consistent and better I'd begin working on cleaning up your tilts, most specifically the side tilt from impact to finish. Staying in your tilt will help clean up the exit (lower) and this will slow down the rate of closure of the clubface along with the changes in arms will help you hit the ball a lot straighter.
Overall pretty good swing

Thanks. I had always seen that in my swing, but had never known why it happened, whether it was important and then how to fix it if it was. Had always thought my right elbow got too deep too soon so will try and keep my elbows more in front of myself.
Will give it a go!
Thanks again for your comments.
