Figured I could just post my tracked scorecard rather than write out too much. I drove the ball crazy long and pretty accurate. Completely overpowering this course now, was not like that a year ago. Greens were very slow and now that its hot people are lazy and not fixing divots in the greens so it was really bad. I only made 1 5' putt all day. I never even sniffed the hole with 34 putts. My double was the result of a bad break catching a flier SW that found some non maintained sand in the bunker and tried to pitch it off the crust and bladed it over the green. oh well. I was off a club all day and with the crap greens never gave myself great chances. I was around two of the par 5's in two and had pretty easy pitches but again that 30-40 yard pitch is really hurting me right now.

Nice round, Greg. As you strike the ball better you'll see that you'll still feel like you give away a lot of shots, but still shoot scores more consistently in the 70's.

Definitely Richie, it seems like you always could play better despite the scores.
Its summer now so in Az you have to be proactive in how you play, and I play late in the day due to my wifes work. Not too much time reading putts or walking for yardages, no range or putting green. Its very much survival golf but I am pretty decent at it.
I will pretty much only practice indoors now at PGA due to the heat, it will be better practice despite the mats as I can take my time.
Now that I consistently make solid contact with the shots I want to fine tune distances and direction.

I really miss the PGA Tour Superstore as they don't have one in Orlando. Which is crazy to me. Certainly a huge market for it and plenty of room to do it. Closest Dick's Sporting Goods is about 1 hour away, too!

gmb: I'm impressed that you hit your 8 iron 170... I can't imagine how that's feasible!! I hit mine a mere 130 at best, and that's an improvement over a few months ago!

Teddy, Thats the scorecard distance and the pin was up 7, 163. Thats about max for my 8. Here are my distances in carry D-260 3W-225 3H-210 4i-195 5i-185 6i-175 7i- 165 8-155 9-145 pw - 130 gw- 110 sw - 95 Pretty big gap in the pw to gw but the Cally X-22 tours the PW while 47 degrees goes a long ways for whatever reason. I can hit max each club about 10 yards longer if needed, like on 17 the pin was 175 and I hit 7 hard because it requires an aggressive swing with water right.

Hey Greg, Made it up to N. Idaho on Saturday and it is over a 50 degree temp change from Tucson. Some courses haven't even opened up here yet from too much RAIN! Different world I tell you. Sounds like you are hitting it well, great job working out the kinks.
