Can someone explain some things about this round document?: 1. What does "LI" or "RI" next to the tee shot mean? 2. Hole 5, 2nd Approach column, what does 31/159 mean? 3. What does the superscript "2" next to a putt distance mean? 4. Hole 11, 1st Approach column, what does "346/" without a number below it mean? 5. Hole 17, Pitch/Chip/Sand column, what does 8/7 mean? Thanks

Just guesses,
1. "LI" and "RI", the "I" means intermediate rough. 2. Drove it into the rough, advanced it 31, then 159 on green, two putt for bogey 3. I'm guessing it doesn't mean "two putt" because there are already two columns. Maybe it's shorthand for what kind of second putt he left himself (2 meaning up hill?) 4. Probably just a quick reference for how long he had for a shot at eagle, but that he didn't try 5. 8/7 means that his first shot didn't make it out of the bunker (he one putted for a bogey)

Great. Thanks for making an attempt. I'm actually surprised that it's taken this long to get a response. 1. I was thinking that the "I" part of "LI" or "RI" meant some kind of shorter rough as well, so I like that guess. 2. Do you think that he used "31/159" in the second Approach column because on Par 4's you don't get 2 approach shots, therefore you only use the second column on par 4's? 3. I like your guess. This is tough one. Maybe you're on the right track though. Maybe those are ones next to the second putts, not abbreviations for "feet", and a 1 = uphill, 2 = downhill. Or vice versa. 4. Makes sense. 5. That's what I was thinking, but couldn't bring myself to believe that it took a pro 2 shots to get out of a bunker. Thanks for making a guess. Also does anyone know if this is typically the kind of sheet that the players are writing on in between shots? Does each player have their own way of record keeping?
