Richie got me looking into this after I bought some MP-14's from Mizuno and its really misleading what is being done by these companies regarding the length and loft of the irons in modern sets. I grabbed 3 specs, the MP-14's, my current MP-57's and the Taylor Made Burner 09' irons. M-14 PW loft = 50, MP-57 loft = 47, TM Burner loft = 45 MP 14 7I loft = 36, MP-57 loft = 35 TM Burner loft = 31 So you can see Mizuno has changed a little but Taylor Made is flat out deception for people. Get them in to hit it, wow you just hit your 7iron on our machine a 165 yards...well thats because its a 6 iron. I found this article from the Wedge Guy talking about your bag setup, www.oobgolf.com/content/the+wedge+guy/golf+equipment/5-2025-The_Equipment_Companies_Are_Jacking_With_You.htmlMakes some sense to me.

I'll be doing a blog post soon on some of this. Taylor Made isn't all flat out deceiving. With the offset, lower COG and high launch shafts, they need to keep those lofts very low. Plus, U-Grooves may have had something to do with loft differences as we.
