TGC is doing commercials for the upcoming episode of 'Golf In America' with surfer and golfer Jeff Clark. Clark is one of my favorite sports stories ever, discovering a ferocious set of waves in Half Moon Bay, CA all by himself for 15 years. Here's the videos from the movie 'Riding Giants.'

I was too lazy to delete the last video since it wasn't in English. Essentially in the documentary 'Riding Giants', after 15 years of riding waves that nobody thought was possible all by himself, Clark finally got some surf magazines and famous surfers to ride Mavericks. Mark Foo was the #1 ranked surfer in the world at the time and went down as a legendary surfer. In Foo's first try at Mavericks on that day, he was killed.
That's what amazes me. All of the stories of how crazy Mavericks is and how Foo died and how difficult it is to do, Clark had to figure this all out by himself and was crazy enough and skilled enough to ride the waves there for 15 years...all by himself.

That's wild... I've never surfed, but I imagine catching a nice wave would feel similar to flushing a long iron.
Just pure.
