After reading the many positive reviews out there, I finally purchased the FH20 on amazon and got a really good deal. I am new to recording my swing and really video in general. Was wondering if you guys that have had some success filming your swings (specifically casio owners) had any keys or tips to help me get the most out of the camera when it gets here.
Thanks in advance.

Get a tripod, they are pretty cheap and makes life much easier the best days to film are when its sunny, the brighter the light the slower the frame rate you can use. make sure you are consistent for height and distance when setting up. Its even better if you can use a dowel on the DLT that you can set up along the plane line you are using.

I use at least 1/2000 shutterspeed and usually 1/4000.

I use at least 1/2000 shutterspeed and usually 1/4000. For whatever reason I cant find how to change the shutter speed, I can change frames in slow mo but dont know where this option is. Of course I have the FC-100 so maybe its not an option.

Yeah. I don't think you can change shutter speed on the FC100. It's one of the reasons to get the FH20.

Long time lurker here but hoping someone can help...
Just got an FH20 of my own and took it out for a spin today. Bright enough out, set the shutter speed to 1/2000. I recorded myself so set the angle etc and then hit record to walk into the frame and swing. The images were very blurry. Any ideas on how to alleviate this would be appreciated.

I have access to an EX-FH20. I had a few questions for the experts that have been doing this for awhile. How far away do you position the camera from you on a down the line shot and a face on shot. I have heard 20 feet on down the line and 25 feet for face on. That seems a long way away, but I guess you use the zoom to fill the frame. On the down the line shot I was told it was important to aim the camera correctly. The recommendation I read was to aim the camera down the line that runs through the bottom end of the grip. That would be between the hand and ball line, but closer to the hand line. Any suggestions or tips would be great. Is there a software package most people use for analysis?

I put mine about 6-10 feet away. You can see it on the camera and get a pretty good idea of how far you should be away. V1 software is what most people use. It's free.

I also recommend SwingAcademy for posting swing videos. Analysis tools are right there on the site and you can embed video just like youtube.
