I was clear you guys are only here for one reason, last time Damon came here and said Brian is too busy to answer all the questions posed to him, referring to Jeffy asking questions. First you come here to praise Jeffy now it's the Ides of March. What's up with that?

First you come here to praise Jeffy now it's the Ides of March. What's up with that? I can't speak for Damon and I shouldn't be held accountable for his actions. What's up with what you're asking is that Jeff went from someone presenting substantive points to slinging mud. Furthermore, his presentation of substantive points, actually Kelvin's, led me to not only appreciate but critically assess those points. This is one of the points I've assessed and I've found a disagreement with.

I didn't say your accountable, you ask what I meant so I told you. Your just here for the same reason as the others just that your a little smarter and disguise it better. By the way post up some pics of tour players that look like Jwat....still waiting.

What mud is that? The Brian reading PMs stuff? Sure looks like I was right. I know, you don't think invasion of privacy is "substantive". Remember the list of the Characteristics Associated with Cultic Groups I posted in the Anti-Summit thread? Here are two that come to mind as I think about that:
7. The leader is not accountable to any authorities (unlike, for example, teachers, military commanders or ministers, priests, monks, and rabbis of mainstream religious denominations).
8. The group teaches or implies that its supposedly exalted ends justify whatever means it deems necessary. This may result in members' participating in behaviors or activities they would have considered reprehensible or unethical before joining the group (for example, lying to family or friends, or collecting money for bogus charities).

tba: Why would I post up tour players that look like Jwat? Keep waiting. I don't care what you think about my intelligence or my motives.
Jeff, whoever: By the way, why in his video isn't Kelvin talking about "holding" the right leg? Isn't that what he wrote in the article in question?

@ Lia , It's not why would you it's you can't find any. Isn't that your thing post up all these 2d pics of tour pros to show how they are confirming the " findings". Your right it doesn't matter because Brian basically said they are useless anyways...right? Except when it's to prove their point of view.

Lukman-
Presumably, because Jamie's swing is a lot more dynamic than Palmer or Snead, who have more of a "holding" look, and were the primary models in that article. Jamie's right knee actually moves away from the target a little bit instead of "holds", and that is the motion I'm finding to be very effective.
You know, if you don't want to squat, that's fine. I'm not going to stop because my swing speed jumped 5-6 mphs when I got it right, and I think there is more to be gained.
Also, Jeff Mann likes to spend endless hours creating debates by nitpicking stuff the way you are now. You can find him at the Newton Golf Institute.

The thing is, Jamie gets so much hip turn (looks like more than 90 degrees) that his right knee is facing away from the target at the top. When hes that far rotated, when he flexes his knees his right knee goes farther right (or away from target from face on view). I think I agree with Rohlio, he's delaying the internal rotation but I'm not convinced he's actually actively externally rotating.

Then how does the right hip get externally rotated? It (as well as the left hip) was fully internally rotated at the top of the backswing. In transition, both hips go into external rotation and abduction (bow-legged), then both hips fire into into internal rotation and adduction. Lukman says a step is skipped and the right hip goes from internal rotation to internal rotation. How can that happen without looking like Ross Fisher or Brian Gay?

I don't think it's active it's just maintaining the external rotation for a brief time therefore it doesn't go into internal R immediately and cause spinning out ala hackers. So it's still in external R regardless of how you look at it. Matter of fact I don't think a lot of the micro moves are consciously activated some are just results from bigger actions.

Lukman says a step is skipped and the right hip goes from internal rotation to internal rotation. No! I'm not talking about the hips! Kelvin talked about the right leg. I'm talking about the right leg. The right leg goes from being maximally rotated and extended while the left leg is maximally internally rotated and simultaneously the right leg flexes and internally rotates as the left leg is internally rotated.

You should take the advice of your counselor, let it go. It's not helping your cause at this point, we get it your here to defend Brian.

I guess I'm confused. I thought external rotation meant the right knee was pointing to the right relative to the hip. In this video the right knee is pointing straight at the camera at the top. Now if he were to go into external rotation from here, wouldnt that knee have to stay in place as the hips turned toward the target? Im just not seeing that happening here.
